You know what kills me, this is hella funny!! When I get a request for a song, OF a CD that the listener OWNS. I think that is sooooo stupit!!

They can hear that song anytime they want during the week!! Why take the time of another song? Anyways, thats crazy stupit!! Just pop your cd in your cd player!

Another thing!! There are NEW skool songs that are WAY better than a few of this so called "CLASSIS" songs. Some of these "Old School Classis" are in NO WAY better some of these new skool songs! But don't say that on CF message board!!! The East Coast will Hang you from a Tree.

I will NOT even get into the artist, or the songs of these Bad classic freestyle.

thats exactly what i meant........i am definitely an old school lover but the new school needs a chance, but i also think there needs to be more "quality" new school......

monarico4 what new school songs do u think are low quality songs? there isnt many labels putting new freestyle out. I know that there was alot of cheesy stuff back in 95-98. But what songs are currently out that u consider to be low quality. be honest. even if i did the song. LOL

I usually can't stay up for the whole show, but I wait for the 11-12 segment to hear new stuff. Loved hearing ktu play the following new songs:

Christine Marie-Turning Away
Cynthia & Safire-Can you Stand the Rain
TKA-When Will I See You Again
Nyasia-True Love
Amante`-Let's Get It On
Paradigm-Back For My Love

However, some old RARE classics would be nice too. Something like:

Girls Club-I Lost The Love
Promise Circle-Be Mine Tonight
Natasha-Be Gentle With My Heart

I LOVE THE CHRISTINA MARIE TRACK ON VAZRAM RECORDS, THATS THE NEWEWST I'VE HEARD. THE SAFIRE AND CYNTHIA TRACKS IS DECENT ALSO. I HAVENT HAD A CHANCE TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE. I LIKE TO KEEP ON TOP OF THINGS.
 
i can name 2 cd's i recently bought that are really poor...

Freestyle Generation Nex...
The production is awful...i had to equalize the 3 songs i actually liked with my computer and burn it to CD.
With the exception of a couple of artists (Ashley being one of them) the singing talent of the artists was lacking.

another one worth noting is...
Mr Miami's Freestyle Collection Vol 4
someone told me that the other volumes are better than this one...but listening to this one has discouraged me from buying any other volumes. Without getting technical all the songs were simply boring and unimpressive.

I wanna hear the new TKA record feel the music even though it may not be freestyle enough to some people it is still a good song and deserves airplay.

🙂 Of course I want to hear BOTH! I am an old school fool lol who also likes some new school.

I like the Metro comps from like the mid-90's, I like Willie's new 2 cd set "Freestyle Parade 2K1", I enjoyed Latif's "Ladies Of Metropolitan" Volume 1, and I thought the Flipzide crew did a great job on "Enter Da Flipzide". Mandy and I love your song Ashley! All the songs on that cd are quality freestyle.

So to me when it comes to new freestyle I'm fine with it as long as it's NOT House/Trance, has a good beat to it (I like slow, classic beats, bassy beats, Latin beats), and is QUALITY new school! Now I know thats in the eye of the beholder, but I know quality freestyle when I hear it! The only freestyle I'm not exposed too much is the West Coast music.

Oh, and I CAN'T get in the live 9pm chat anymore! I've tried EVERY WEEK, even at different times including early, and all I get is a "closed" at the bottom. I also haven't been able to get KTU's live feed for weeks now, like they changed something. My Windows Media Player says "closed" too. I can get in the earlier chat with Tony Monaco, and I can get HIS live feed, but after that NOTHING! 🙁
