Just want to see what u guys think about the sunday night mix on KTU. What do u guys wanna hear? 1. More old school 2.More New school 3. less new school 4. Less old school 5.It doesnt matter

I personally listen to the mix for the new stuff. not only my stuff, i just like to hear what freestyle is doing in general. i love it when i hear a slammin new track,. i know all the classics. i hear them everyday on ktu. Love them but i have them on cd already. plus you hear 2 hours of it before the mix. well guys let me know.
 
i hear u. but Johnny had mentioned not too long ago that the ratings were dropping because the people dont wanna hear the new stuff. I dont agree. just wanna see what the fans wanna hear.
 
a true freestyle fan will like both new and old so whoever dose not like one thing must not like freestyle much but as for me i like it all new and old but im just one fan we need more that likes both if we wanna keep freestyle alive they gotta understand its not the 80s anymore so new is good

that is absoltely not true joe.
i personally wanna hear more new school. like willie says its very exciting to hear a brand new track you never heard before. I personally usually tune in at 11 for Johnny Budz mix. Most of the songs played before that i already have and been listening to them for years, so i'd rather hear new tracks.
 
i like the new stuff to i hope to hear more new freestyle but when people say they like freestyle and say they just like old freestyle i like both new and old and i wanna hear more new stuff i will keep buying it new and old
 
now that i can agree on. but as far as Johnny's mix is concerned...i say lets keep it to newer songs. theres already 2 hours devoted to old school.
 
dont get me wrong. i love the old school. thats what made me get into the business. But i love to hear whats new. to see where we are going.....
 
true we just gotta wait and hear what he plays i dont know why people dont like the new stuff i dont see anything wrong with it i say lets hear the new stuff from 11- 12 and the old stuff like it is now i guess people just go to bed after 10 thats why they dont get to hear the new stuff and soon when school starts not many will hear the new sound but we will find out
 
I Like playing NEW Freestyle better than the Old stuff, not that its bad, but most of the SOUNDS or out dated, that just how I feel!
 
i would defintly want to hear some new tracks out there as well as throwing in some rare freestyle songs das not usually played in the first 2hours of the broadcast.

so .. mostly new and rare stuff + a lil bit of classics 🙂
 
If new school sound is totally old school sound based, then you can count me out of this website!

Anyway, I'd choose old school and creative new school freestyle. Perfect example of new school freestyle: tka- just when i thought it was over. perfect song! no doubt! They are definitely freestyle trend setters. Freestyle is all about latin hip hop. And this track definitely displays freestyle in the 2000's not forgetting it's freestyle influence. Right on the money baby!

why does new school have to be considered cheesy? have u heard the latest stuff lately? what makes it cheesy? i dont think thats fair. and as far as new school with an old school twist. how can johnny do that? he is mixing it not producing it.

But for real we all love the oldschool, or other than that none of us will be here. But yo give us new peeps a chance to keep it going. Playing oldschool is phat, but it just doesn't let none of the new artists shine. TKA, GL, Cynthia, Safire, & More, Johnny O, and many others all have new songs yet they still play their old stuff, how can they continue to do more new music when they can't step out of their own shadows???? Give all of us a new chance with new MUSIC!!!😱

There is 2 hours of old school before the mix. I'd rather hear newer stuff in Johnny's mix.

But, you can't please everybody 🙁
 
Well, I like old school, but it just doesn't quite do it for me like new school does. There's just something about the new school beats that get me pumped. That's why I voted for more new school! 😀

The only people that want to hear new freestyle is a HANDFUL of people here. This site is filled with freestyle "lovers", right, and you can't even get everyone here to agree on new stuff, so how can u talk the outside public into listening to a sound that is considered dead and not taken seriously no more. Johnny played new stuff ALOT within the past few months and the ratings dropped like flys. Don't give the excuse of the 11:00 hour, because before he started playing so much new stuff, he had the highest rating mixshow on ktu.
Plus, what new freestyle would you like him to play !?!?. There isn't much radio quality new freestyle out there. My opinion, is he should play a LITTLE of the new stuff, mixed in with the popular classsics and some rare older stuff"
Say what u want but beside the people in this site, a much broader, wider audience listens to KTU, and they will not take to new freestyle especially if not everybody takes to it on a FREESTYLE WEBSITE!!
