All who submitted tracks should be commended. It's refreshing to see clubfreestyle.com taking the initiative and doing something innovative. On this Freestyle Throwdown, i would say that Jazmine's "Only You" stands out in my mind as being my top choice, with a notable mention to Nick Colon. Props to all producers who had the guts to submit their material. Santana twins, keep doing your thing, and can't wait to hear Jazmine's Album.

P.S., I didn't know that Willie V retired...(Freestyle parade 2) will always be one of my best CD's...Good luck to him...
 
"That Guy" - interesting voice, as I mentioned above - he puts me in mind of a Rich Luzzi. His "hook" is that voice of his and finding the right songs for it.

It's been a GREAT contest. Thank you very much for those who have voted (especially 4 me haha). Like others have said, it would be nice to get some feedback about why you like or dislike a song.

I want to thank everyone that has e-mailed to show support. It is really uplifting.

It is 48 hours until WMCX Saturday Night Freestyle & Dance Jam and I've only received 1 artist track from this contest (Thanks Tony).
Just want to tell everyone to listen from 9PM to 12Mid (ET) on WMCX.COM There's a B-Ball game on this saturday so the show might be delayed a bit but don't despair, DJ Vinny and I will be there taking your requests once the game is done.

How do #'s jump??...By Promoting the SITE-the CONTEST and the ARTIST...everyone is a WINNER just by telling EVERYONE U KNOW wo likes freestyle to tell someone they know...Jack..LOTTA CLOSET freestylers lovin the site =)

I agree with you. We are working on a few songs for THAT GUY. He's a cross over singer but we definately have a few tricks up our sleeves.

As for "In My Dreams", the song was written for a girl to sing but was not available to lay down the track so we laid it down with Joselito. Its ahight.

As for "My Way" I think Kandela did a good job on the song but you've got to hear the original. It's really good. I sent JackG the original lyrics and the club mix instead of the original mix in error. My bad. Maybe next time.

All in all Steve and I really enjoyed putting these songs and others together. Perhaps I'll get to showcase more on this forum in the future.

just wanted to drop by again and say thank you for all the wonderful emails ive been receiving from fellow fans, dj's, artists and producers...i cannot thank you enuff for all the feedback no matter what it might be...thats what i want to hear...🙂

jazmine is my favorite without question...love the santana twins...fellaz you have got my utmost respect, love your sound and you deserve much more recognition for your style...great writers too!

my plan was to be heard and make a song with a message the whole community can identify with and thru the feedback ive gotten and continue to get, i feel i have accomplished those goals here...thats all this was about for me...whoever wins congrats...but mario does not stop here...ive got much in the worx and will continue to do my part in trying to bring back what once was to its rightful place....

Let's keep doing this. I Like that JACKG is considering do more of these. There's a lot of great tracks and producers on board already. There's no two doubts about it. Imagine... more contests. Lets bring the music on!

my thoughts on the new songs

most of these songs were pretty good. its nice to see that freestyle is still alive. it was hard to pick a good song out of the bunch.
