Nice effort Jack. It is great to hear new stuff! Thanks for bringing the new music!

Although the audio sample quality is very poor, the only tracks that stand out in my opinion are Tony G and Kandela. The use of vocoders seem to give it some appeal and the track by Kandela is sounds very good too.

Overall, my opinion is that the production quality of the other tracks appears to be severely weak and very independent label sounding; with no name branded vocalists. I doubt any of them would make it to a radio anytime soon. Hopefully we can have some broadcast/international quality freestyle releases out of these labels in the near future. It is hard to convert new people to the sound if we can't deliver commercial quality products to the masses.

hii!! good songs jack!! half of them are more dance than freestyle tho - but the ones that have the freestyle flava are hot but no contest... my vote goes to NICK COLON - CARELESS
Any other songs from this guy??? He looks likes a cutie too!! I love da breaks in da song ahhhhh phatttt songggggggg
where u been hiding nick??

W'zup Clubfreestyle, It's Hiram Ortiz. In addition to being an artist, I'm also a freestyle fan and a radio DJ.

In my opinion, there's several very viable tracks featured here. Since I can't talk about mine, I'm going to give props to several that stand out. I really like the Tony G/Nu Image, and Jazmine. Nick Colon sounds pretty smooth. his voice is ON. Some songs ARE dance-oriented, but we are no longer in MicMac days so the sound HAS to progress.

AS FAR AS SOUND QUALITY, Sorry BASSBUMP, but that is the one thing that can't (or shouldn't be) judged in this contest. I know what MY song sounds like (much cleaner/sharper...) but it sounds like crap online. I can only imagine that the other songs sound better also.

Overall, I'm going to e-mail some of the artists 'cuz I NEED their songs for DJ Vinny's show on WMCX. Their songs are niiiiice!

GOOD JOB.

I chosed between Mario - Freestyle Luv and the Jazmine song..
The last two songs were average house songs, I have to disagree with Bassbump, that Autotune effect in the Nu Image song and the kandela song destroys them..Reminding me of Eiffel 65 LOL.
The Nu Image song would have been dope without that sh*t🙁

I'll keep it brief - get to the point and throw in a few comments...I am torn between "FREESTYLE LOVE" by Mario and "ONLY YOU" by Jazmine. I like them both...

HIRAM ORTIZ - I am very glad to see you, bro. You know I have been a fan of "MAKE YOU MINE" (I see you changed it from "GIVE YOUR LOVE TO ME") for 5 years now, but I like Wilson Yepez & Adam Kiss' original production of the song. I am not feeling the Chris Sammarco remix that much. As a matter of fact - the original version could have blown away all of the other entries!

Tony G/Nu-Image - "I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" is a great song. Just like with Hiram's song, I am not feeling the version that was featured here. I like the other version that is featured on a different Freestyle board much better...

Most of the rest of the songs were way too progressive for my tastes...

While I didn't dislike any of them, to my ear, which true, isn't saying much, they all sounded very similar in beat and voice. Mario, Kennyfreestyle/Genieve and Hiriam stick out in my mind a little bit. "That Guy" has a Rich Luzzi thing going on with his voice, not bad.

I liked Orig's "bonus beat", but I must say, I was hoping to hear his voice, hear him sing.

If I could cast my vote for more than one, I would!

Wow

A lot of great tracks here. I really like Tony G / Nu Image joint. And of course Nick Colon Careless is great. You got that off nicely. The bonus beat is phat too. All of you got some really good stuff up in here. I'm glad to be a part of it.

"Keep the music alive"

Rhoq,

You are confusing Hiram's "Make You Mine" with the unreleased "Give Me Your Love" from about 5 years ago. They are two completely different songs. Sorry you aren't feeling the remix. I agree that I am not that good at producing freestyle, that's why I switched to producing house a long time ago. Hiram and I go way back so I did the mix for him.

I would like to say again that is is VERY hard
to vote on just one. There all Great, so when you vote
just pick your most favorite (Please listen to Them All).

Aslo, In an effort to publicize all the artists in the
Throw Down, please tell all your peeps to listen & vote!

everyone....

first off...i would like to thank everyone who has or will comment or vote on the contest...thanx for taking the time out to listen to all of our songs, that right there means a lot. secondly, i personally appreciate and respect any feedback regardless of whether it might be good or bad, i take it all in...as far as the sound goes...i can assure you, the sound quality is better than what is heard..noones fault, just how it comes thru over the music player, but i know my track sounds fine with regards to the overall sound that i have on cd and in the studio so as was stated before, sound quality should be taken with a grain of salt here. if you dont like the song, my voice, the way its written...then that is fine cuz thats me, how i write and my style. i respect everyones opinions...

my song was made specifically for this forum jaxson started, thank you very much by the way mr."g"....its not for a profit...i did not make it for any other reason than to say what i wanted to say about freestyle in my own way. i have no intention of pushing this track or promoting it in any way other than just making it available to listen to at no charge here or anywhere else it might be wanted, but if some label wanted it then thats up to them to pursue it, i just wanted to say something....hopefully everyone will get the message within.

i want to give props to all the artists and producers who had the guts to do this...and give us all something to hear with the best of intentions....a challenge was issued and these people stepped up to the plate and delivered.....much respect to you all!!

peace...and freestyle luv!!

First off, good work by all. I've been looking forward to this since the idea first came up and all of the songs had there good points. "Freestyle luv" caught my eye right away (with a title like that, who can resist?). Not to mention its a good song, definitely a favorite. I also liked KF's "Let me know". Hiram Ortiz's "make you mine" grew on me the more I listened to it. This was a really hard decision, I wish we could vote for more than 1.

Any chance we'll get these songs in mp3? It would be nice to hear these songs in full quality.

paulb- As planned, I will be officially asking the Artists / Label
if they would like to distribute the MP3 to all of us
via ClubFreestyle Freestyle Throw Down - BUT NOT YET!
I want these artists to get the publicity first.
Stay posted!

Please support these artists though. Buy their stuff -
give the lables a reason to keep going strong!

Labels: Give 1 MP3 away and it can sell an album.

Keep It Real - Spread The Freestyle.

I gotta put my lira's worth in here...

I did enjoy listening to the new trax thrown in here.. It was a great thing for us Freestyle Freaks... Although - without specifically praising or condemning the work here... Some of the jams were not my forte..

I love the old skool flava and always will... Those long over done intros for 1 1/2 minutes are annoying and I think I heard a wannabe Sheila E at some point... Someone sounded like he was being castrated and strangled at the same time. Some of the vamps were like in a hyperbaric chamber with no air which sounds like a bathroom to me.. but thats just good old Real Audio/Media player..

But - I gotta say THE SANTANA TWINS DONE DID IT AGAIN AND MARIO TORE IT UP AS USUAL

JOB WELL DONE TO THE TALENT HERE AND THANK GOD FREESTYLE IS BACK FRESH

HEY - CAN WE BUY A CD OF ANY THESE AT SOME POINT??? Or is there a compilation in the works folks??

NO OFEENSE INTENDED TO ANYONE - TO EACH HIS OWN.. I JUST LIKE WHAT I LIKE...

muahhhhssssssss

baci a tutti
