WELL I BEEN READING CERTAIN POSTS ON HERE AND THEY MAKE ME MAD... I ALWAYS LOVED FREESTYLE... TO READ ARTISTS SAYING THAT FREESTYLE IS DIEING AND THIS AND THAT ABOUT FREESTYLE MUSIC AND ARTISTS. I'M JUST PLAIN TIRED OF IT.. I CAN UNDERSTAND WHEN PEEPS DON'T LIKE CERTAIN FREESTYLE MUSIC OR PRODUCERS OR ARTISTS .. BUT DAM TO KEEP ON AND ON ABOUT IT.. ITS JUST TIRED... I THINK ALL LABELS SHOULD COME TOGETHER AND JUST MAKE ONE OR TWO FREESTYLE LABELS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.TO MANY LABELS OUT THERE.... MAYBE THATS WHY FREESTYLE LABELS DON;T MAKE TO MUCH MONEY. LIKE YOU READ ON CERTAIN POSTS.. THERE ARE SO MANY FREESTYLE ARTISTS OUT THERE NOW AND DAYS... AND I'M SURE ITS HARD TO DO PUBLICITY WORK FOR THE ARTIST .. FREESTYLE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART.. AND I WILL DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO KEEP ON REPPIN "FREESTYLE"...I HATE TO READ POSTS ABOUT ONE FREESTYLE DISSIN ANOTHER FREESTYLE ARTISTS.EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THER OPINION... I'M JUST TIRED OF IT.. SO I FELT THAT I CAN POST MY OPINION ON HERE ... SO I KNOW MAD HEADS OUT THERE ARE GOING TO SAY WHAT THEY WANT .. SO GO AHEAD... I HOPE I MAKE SOME SINCE ON HERE .. I'M MAD AT THE MOMENT.. LIKE I SAID FREESTYLE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART AND I WILL DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO REPRESENT.... LOL.. MAD LUV TO EVERYONE ON "CF"...... PEACE ......... "EXOTICA"😉

Tony, where has she been over these last couple of years.lol😀

Exotica, as long as people keep sampling planet rock and the same old drums loops with shitty vocals; it just ain't going to happen.

Like Smoothie has said; time and time again. New artists and producers must be more creative and put together a totally new sound. Until then all you are going to hear on the radio is your classic old school freestyle.

Tony !! Can I get an amen:blah

Hollllllaaaaaaaaaaa:dancingb

ok guys, let's be nice here. EXOTICA is just stating her opinion on freestyle and what gets her upset, which we all do at some point in time. Exotica as much as I agree with some of your points, I also have to agree with Smoothie. I mean I know there are hundreds of songs out there that don't have the planet rock beat to it that are good, but they are not being heard.

I can't say enough how grateful I am that DiamondBoy at Latinomix is doing his thang now with freestyle, mixing the old with the new, it's about time someone gave the new a chance, but now it is up to everyone , NOT just the artist and labels and producers (although they make up a big part) but also the people to call and support, if that is what they truly want. If Freestyle is what you want to hear then pick up the phone during the mixes, show your support to the station, to the DJ's, to the genre.

and with that I am off to bed. good night chulos and chulas😉

I wish I knew what the heck everyone is talking about when they talk about NEW freestyle 😉, in San Diego you will be lucky to here freestyle, so appreciate the fact that you can discuss freestyle music. Since I started posting here at Clubfreestyle I have heard of a bunch of artists and groups I have never heard of before. I don't know how good or bad they could be, I might never find out unless I take people's word for it. So why can't we get stations out here to play more freestyle, do you guys need me to kick some DJ a$$ or what (that was joke) but I will if I have too.

Don't major in the minors. Life is soooo too short

later Simon 🙂

I think many of us need to come to terms with the fact that Freestyle, just like Disco, had its "glory days" and the downfall happened a long time ago. No matter what you say it's just not going to happen. It's right there in our face. MTV (which I literally don't care for, VH1 (it's okay at times), and various other programs don't even give Freestyle or the artists any sort of recognition. It's no ones fault. It's funny, I mention Freestyle and people look at me like I have two heads. If the labels aren't doing anything to push the music, how else do you expect the industry as a whole to react?

nO, Anthony. youre not joking. its the truth. its dead. we have to face it. if it were alive, most of the artists would be living like kings with not a worry in the world but with the music thats out, fans demand more.

Hey, I know a TV show that supports FREESTYLE 100%!!!:yeey

I would love to support Freestyle....had we had a radio station that plays freestyle :rolleyes I'm here in the nation's capital and not one station plays freestyle.

FREESTYLE IS NOT DEAD!!!!! My sisters are 12 and love listening to nothing but freestyle and I would rather them listen to freestyle that all the other crap that they play on the radio. What we hear the most here in the DC metro area is rap...all about doing this and that, see some girl shake her @$$, killing this and that...I would much rather have my 12 year old sisters listening to freestyle. If you were to mention freestyle down here, the first thing would be "Freestyle Rap."

Had we had a radio station down here, I, as well as many others, would GLADLY listen to it and call in to support. What would we need to do to even get the radio station to play down here? :confused

Freestyle is not dead in NY/NJ area. At the clubs it's up to the DJ what type of music to play. If you give the Dj a free track of freestyle music then he will probably play it. We have to promote it. When i used to go to clubs, i would get to know the DJ/owner. I would request some freestyle songs and my friends would too. some of these Dj's also work at radio stations. If enough interest is shown on the low end of the ladder it is bound to take us higher. Remeber this...what you here on the radio has already been played at the clubs ...it's already old. The clubs are where the focus needs to be drawn to. DON'T GET MAD GET EVEN!! PROMOTE,PROMOTE&PROMOTE

Freestyle is NOT dead over here in Allentown, PA...I mean it is sometimes heard in the clubs and you can't go to a skating rink without hearing one song...our local radio throws on some jams sometimes too. 🙂

Freestyle is far from dead.

-I've noticed that at least 20 freestyle albums have been released every year since the year 2000.

-KTU is out there showing their support for us in the NJ/NY area and is leading the way with our music.

-cf, lf and some other freestyle sites are out there delivering news and info.
Such sites have motivated arttists to come out with new material.

-Clubs are still booking artists.

-Canada has a great deal of love for the music. Materials released there all the time. Freestyle is'nt foreign there.

-DMA, a nationwide publication, has articles about freestyle as well as other dance/club music.

....If we pour our hearts into this thing as the artists, producers, and fans that we are then I dont see why this music shouldnt progress to where it needs to be.

If anything, we have just started. We just got to think positive 'till then.

Here's my 2 cents on the thread. Music, regardless of which genre it falls under, is a BUSINESS. BOTTOM LINE. If labels, promoters, radio stations, and night clubs can't make money off it, as well as the artist(s), it's just not feasible or practical. It's not a matter of how many labels are out there or how many freestyle artists are out there. If you mention "freestyle" to a record exec who has any marketing or sales knowledge, he or she will laugh at you.

Radio stations play freestyle. Indeed they do. But call up your local station up and ask them to play the new track from, "Joe Shmo" or "Billy Bob", and they would say, "YEAH RIGHT!!" They play the freestyle tracks that people jammed to in the 80's and early 90's. Just like you will here a classic disco track from the 70's on occasion. Call up and ask for a "new" disco track, and they'd tell you to take a walk. Same goes for freestyle.

I don't want people to take my message the wrong way. I have ALWAYS loved and supported freestyle, and will do so until my dying day. But if I was to post a message saying that there will be a "freestyle rejuvination", I'd be posting a lie. If you love freestyle, continue to listen to it. Continue to support your local artists. Continue to support the legends that made the hits that you fell in love with. But just don't live a lie and think that freestyle is going to have this miraculous "comeback". It's not going to happen people.
