I have no problem with gays marrying. If my son or lil' sister came to me and told me he/she was gay I would love for them to have he same advantages heterosexual (sp) couples have and I would love them no matter what.

Are we not all God's children? Weren't we ALL created in his likeness? Religion aside, all citizens of this country should be entitled to the same rights and privileges. I think for most gay people, they deal with God on their own terms. For all, I recommend reading the book "Conversations With God," by Neale Patrick Walsh. That's MY bible.

True, but it also has to do with being a good mommy cause there are parents who disown there child and never have nothing to do with them because of them being gay. Sad, but true fact!

OH GOD I COULD NEVER DO THAT TO MY CHILD. NO MATTER WHAT HE DID I COULDNT DISOWN HIM. IT'S TRUE WHAT YOU SAY BECAUSE I HAVE A GAY FRIEND AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY HAS DISOWNED. SAD BECAUSE HE IS A LOVING GUY NO MATTER WHAT HIS SEXUALITY IS BUT THATS IGNORANCE ON THEIR BEHALF

Im from THE BAY AREA and we started this,which I'm proud of, it's common sense that it is descrimination-not allowing same sex marriages.This is the same country who had BLACKS as SLAVES, threw JAPANESE people in camps,ETC..It's a human right to love & marry whoever you want,the people that dont see that are bigots,HATERS, & full of prejudices,GOD knows its right-GOD sees GOOD.I cant believe some of these ignorant protesters who carry signs like-GOD HATES FAGS!!!!!or If they can marry,than can marry my DOG? They truly are sick f**ks to believe in what thy are protesting.HUMAN to HUMAN-which is the most important thing on this planet.This should be common sense, EXAMPLE, YOU ONLY HAVE A CHANCE TO SAVE ONE-who do you save from drowning??an unknown human being or your pet dog which y had since birth?????You shouldnt have to think about this,it should be common sense!!!!!HUMANS are the most important things on this planet,we should always come first. :inlove

This is a two sided answer... for me anyway.

I agree, it's no ones business what the other does in their own bedroom, and I think it's a beautiful gift to find that special someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with so in that sense, yes, they should be allowed to get married...

On the other side of the coin, it's not recognized by God and for that reason, maybe church shouldn't be involved, but for legal reasons and for the "that's my significant other" purpose, they should be allowed to get married, but not in church.

Did I confuse anyone? lol

We don't know for sure it's not recognized by God it's never comed out of his mouth. Yeah, many people say that god speaks to them and stuff like that. But till he has a special new conference and offially tells us he doesnt recognize gay people then it's just here-say. We all God children and created in his own likeness.

I am by no means a "religious" person and God sure as h*ll doesn't speak to me (even though I could use a good talking from him)..., but it's just the belief of Catholics... that's all.

Nah,girl we're str8 but I'm catholic too. But all I'm saying we just all have to live in this planet. But you know this what pisses me off when there are priest in the church saying it's wrong to be gay etc.etc. but then there priest molesting children and the church covers up there actions. Trust me God would send them to hell first before he would send a gay person to hell for loving someone of the same sex.
