First of all I never said I sinned. We all are sinners. And yes I am entitled to my opinion. What's in the Bible I believe is true. It seems that it bothers you when you hear the truth but hey like you said I am entitled to my opinion. And that's why I left it with this scripture "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" Galatians 4:16

why would it bother him about a truth only you ( and other people that feel they need to let others control how they think ) believe?

to me, the bible is a good read...entertaining...but so is Napalm & Silly putty by George Carlin....actually...i think if everyone followed some of the things in his book...the world would be a much beter place

I AM AGAINST GAYS MARRYING. IT IS BAD ENOUGH NOW THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM SPECIAL RIGHTS AND EVEN OPEN UP A SCHOOL FOR THEM. I DON'T THINK ANYBODY HERE WOULD WANT THERE KID TO BE GAY. THE WORLD IS MESSED UP AS IT IS AND THERE IS NOT EVEN ANY MORALITY ANYMORE.

Well, I myself am a firm beleiver in God, & follow whats in my heart. I beleive in the Bible, but also keep in mind that by this day & age, it has been tampered with.
As a gay individual, who has ALWAYS been this way, & was never taught to be, or exposed to this lifestyle as a kid, makes me think that being Gay isnt really wrong. For I have always naturally been this way since I could remember. I still am a child of God, am I not?

Also, every religion has their own views on whats wright & wrong. Some agree & some dont. In many religious peoples eyes, they are "right" while every other that does not pertain to their religion is "wrong".

How do we truly know what beleif is right or wrong??
Until our "time" comes, WE WILL NEVER KNOW!
In the end, faith & LOVE is the answer.
God knows whats truly in each of our hearts & souls, regardless of what we may seem to be.
If they wanna get married, are comitted, & have been together for awhile, & are happy, ....then WHY NOT! I say yes. 🙂

But disliking others off da back for what they are I find kinda dumb, cuz no ones perfect, & we are all different. It's taken us many years to get this far from the Black/White issues, Latino's, Handicap, etc, etc,...

I will say I wanted various replies, and I got them. It is good to see that people are not afraid to speak their minds, as long as it's done politely. That's what Amercia is about.

Colombian Harry....you dodged bullets for your right (and everyone else's) to speak your mind. You get mad respect from me, and that's not going to change.

I won't get into a religious debate here, because that wasn't my point, nor was it my point to be "controversial". This is a topic that people will be dealing with for some time, and we need to learn to make our points while respecting each other.

The bible also says its wrong to molest children. Maybe not in those certain words but yet you have all this stuff coming out about members of the "Church" molesting said children.

These "GAY" People that wish to make this committment are of legal age and know their own minds. Who are we as heteros to tell them they are wrong?

Stuff like this baffles the hell out of me. What people do in their own damn homes is of no concern to anyone else. YOU/WE aren't paying their bills so what gives YOU/US or anyone the right to tell them what they CAN or CAN NOT do?

if u gonna speak of the bible, dont just say is like any other book cuz is not! if u gonna speak of the bible talk about it in a good way so that those that dont read it might have some kind of understanding shed some light for those that live in darkness take a verse from the book and share it with those that are not righteous as u are but seriously guys plz i mean cmon dont just say that the bible is an excuse for the narrow minded ppl cuz thats the most lame ass shit i ever heard "but the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard and there are few people who find it" (matt 7:14) so open ur mind and ur heart but dont let ur brain be stuck up ur butt

so again i say dont use the bible as a comic book like one was referring to it in here, for those of us that do go by and believe in the word of god continue to have ur faith strong and ur hopes high for ur reward in heaven will be great......amen
 
It's so obvious that the only reason people are against Homosexuality and same-sex marriages is because of what the Bible says. I'm looking at these post's and I'm seeing no VALID argument as to why the government should oppose gay marriage. If you give me one good reason, one good point as to why there should be a ban on gay marriage, I might absorb it and give it some recognition.

But to say that God is against it, is some BS. Stop bringing up the Bible and start bringing up some educated points.

I don't think religion should even be looked upon when making political decisions. Especially for other people. Keep your religious views away from politics and keep them to yourself. Isn't that what we learned in history class, "laissez faire" (hand's off). The government should keep it's distance from religion, and keep its hands off religion.

The Bible has only caused problems for centuries. The Bible has been the root of all problems in America and over-seas. 50% of the time it solves problems, 50% it raises problems. The Bible isn't a how-to-live manual that we are expected to live by. If you want, hey, that's you. But, just because you are a practicing believer of some sort, doesn't make you ANY better than the next person.

And another thing. Yeah, this topic is definitely hot. You posted it, you're going to get a lot of different views, like it or not.

That's the beauty of being opinionated. And I think I've brought up a few a valid points myself.

At the time, I believe that the populace practiced christian values only. It worked then, but what about now?

Does that mean people who follow Islam are not welcome here? How about Judiasm? Wicca? Agnostics?

I think a happy medium needs to be found somehow.....


As for bashing the bible, I don't agree with that. I think that the bible is a legitimate book that can help shape one's life, if one chooses to be open to it.
 
Everyone on heremade some valid points & I think thats great. Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. As for me well I feel it shouldn't matter if your gay or straight...if you love someone & want to be with that person then go for it. Be happy in your life & not worry about what other people say or think...they ain't payin your bills...LOL.
And if my son were to end up gay well I would still love him to death as I do now. Nothing will ever change that. And I would welcome him & his partner with open arms in my house. If that's what makes my son happy then I am too.
