You know you're right, my bible is a bit dusty. Along with all the other so-called holy books that i have. Read so much religous sh!t that instead of showing me the way to eternal life, it convinced me of how insignificant we humans and our thoughts are.

Tell me Pastor, what happens when we go to heaven? We stay there for eternity? Doing what? The human mind cannot grasp what eternity is. To live forever 'till time is no more is a torture in itself.

And let's talk about hell. Hell is for the sinners, where they will suffer for eternity. Don't you think that once i see the fiery gates of hell it will restore and or give me the faith i've never had. Yes it will. But it'll will be to late according to the bible. Well i don't think so, the only questioin i have in life is whether god exists. If he does, that would bring along more questions, but the main one would have been answered already. If god exists than that means that we are not just insignificant animals that live and die. It means that there is a purpose, there is a plan. I don't mind going to hell for peace of mind. Cause if hell exist, than heaven and god exist. So i'll burn for all eternity, but the peace of mind and the new found faith would be worth it.

Free will to do what ever we want, believe or not believe. To do bad or not. Tell me Preacher Man, those who die for no apparent reason(9-11 for example), did they choose to die? Did they knowingly use there free will to go on to that building and end there lives? No, they didn't. Free will is a joke.

My BIBLE is also dusty,I wonder how many of us actually own BIBLE? I do and will never get rid of it,once you have one,you have it for life.I wonder how many people actually own a bible?

i can agree with some of your points bro but try to maintaiin some respect and i can respect that johny O is really a preacher now.. cool if youve done that.. turned around and become that .. great i respect that my personal experience with "pastors" has been the biggest hipocrites ever!! me personally I know I have a kind heart just do alot of things that god frowns on but thats just between me an him i would never try to preach gods word because i have many faults but i beleive in him .. just angry about alot of things that happened to me when i screamed for him to help alltough im mad at him i still know hes there guess ill argue with him when i see him but i really depise anyone who doesnt realy live the gospel trying to force it down my throat wheter it be a father from the catholic church which i was raised or ....an evangelist who speaks a gibberish laungauge claiming to be "speaking in tounges" then telling me i must give at least ten percent of my paycheck to the church or else im going to hell... i say bro youll be there before me with your nice suit mercedes and pinky ring!!! besides that just as my real father here on earth i love him with all just havent always agreed with him or them both but both have always instilled in me being decent and kind despite my sins

a truly religious man or an enlightened man or woman does not need or want a "title" or position to represent him/her as such. preist.. pastor ..decon .. reverend ... master. whatever ." caracther is all" if you have that people will follow that lead and try to be like you but to take that responsiblity in the first place you must be a pure example by acts not words!!

Maybe the Preacher or anyone else can answer me this. Why is it that when someone announces or makes in known that they don't believe, they immidiately have to be belittled. The qoute above from the Preacher Man is just that, belittling. He and the words he first spoke show absolutely no respect for my opinion. I respect all opinions, i don't have to agree...but to each his own. Why is it that we(non-believers) have to respect their beliefs, when all they do is look down on ours.

Keep your holy words to yourself, if anyone wants to find God, they'll do it on there own. I don't go to your house on a Sat. at 10:00am to preach my beliefs, i don't stop you on the train and give you something you don't want to read, i don't stop you on the street to ask you stupid questions and than try to convince you on how you shouldn't believe in God... and i certainly don't look down on you when you state your opinion on why you do believe.

Okay here is what I have to say about the things mentioned in this thread...

1. Ghosts? They are real! How do I know? My mom when she was a child lived in a haunted house and was witness to supernatural activity(Foot steps, messed up attic noises) My mom even saw the spirit. In that house a woman was murdered and nuns and priests would come over to bless the house. Spiritual activity would stop for awhile and then start up again. After their dog started acting funny my moms family moved they couldn't take it anymore. This is all true!

2. U.F.O's? Yep I saw a couple of them years ago at the beach during forth of july. This was way above the fireworks and they were not helicopters. There were no blinking lights and they moved in ways I've never seen copters or planes move.

3. Adam and Eve? Well years ago I was in a catholic school and one of my fellow students asked one of the priest's of our parish if all of the stories in the bible are true. What was the answer? The answer was no. He said that most of the old testament are stories to teach us morals and stuff and the creation story was just a simple way of saying that God created all that exists.

Here is something else about Adam and Eve. Edgar Kacy the psychic that went into trance state's for readings earning him the name sleeping prophet. Mentions that Adam and Eve and the garden of eden did exist except that they and the garden existed in Atlantis.

Heres another thing Since God created Adam as his first son and Jesus is the son of God... Edgar Kacy say's that Jesus is the reincarnation of Adam.

As for the evils in this world? The Matrix? Well there are quite a few truths to that movie. It's just hidden in a scifi flic kinda way. The matrix does exist! The world we live in is the result of many individuals(Past and present) machinations. We are all slaves or drones to serve the purpose of others. Things are not what they seem and the truth is hidden all around us. You just gotta know where to look. I could say more but I'd rather not.

God does exist though but not like some think. There is a universal consciousness out there and everywhere. I've witness a couple of things to make me believe so. Although there is alot evil in the world there is still good out there and no matter how strong evil may get it could never truly extinguish good. Just as evil can never truly be destroyed. Good and evil, yin and yang, war and peace. There is a balance.

Well these are my thoughts.
 
Ok, this has turned out pretty good.

The Word Of God was devinely inspired by God to men so we would have constant communication with God through his Word without error.

Jesus, is God in the form of man. Came to rescue us from sin. Performed miracles of healing, calming the sea's, raising people from the dead, spoke of loving one another, loving your neighbor. He spoke of love not hate as others would say. If you really want to know open up a Bible go to the book of John in the New Testament and read.

The great thing about having a FAIR God is, He gave us the CHOICE between right and wrong, just like you give your kids the choice between right and wrong, just like you make choices for yourself (you know what's right and wrong).

I also know the difference between whats right and whats wrong, I make alot of wrong decisions, just like any of you. But, don't HATE believers because they are passionate about Jesus, its simply you don't understand the love and joy that Jesus brings to believers.

If you do want to understand, than pick up a bible and start readin. Read it with an open mind like you would any other book.

*NOTE* this was taken from another forum that someone wrote, when he was replying about speaking in tongues and he expanded on that. i didn't write this but its good stuff. a lil background on the guy who wrote this, he had his 'third eye' open where basically he can see spirits and sometimes gets those flashbacks of those spirits at times. theres more to that but i wont get into it.

In essence, every religion is right in their own way, but it's what the individual does with that insight that determines your spiritual growth. I can go to church 7 nights a week, read the bible, preach the lords word, but It won't make a difference if I do it out of false faith. That is one of the reasons I hate church and religion so much. Everyone states that if you don't do this, you go to hell, if you do this, god will sentence you to damnation.....do you really believe a true and loving god would do this to us?? NO! He wouldn't. God is the essence of everything that is perfect including love, compassion, and most of all patience. That is why everyone that believes their religion is the right one or that they are saved because they go to church every sunday is COMPLETELY WRONG. This is an etude to the start of my post. I will start with explaining everything in a little while. I will leave this post with this. Reincarnation is certain and the spiritual development of the soul survives through MANY incarnations of the physical until we reach "liberation". Through liberation we will have attained a level of spirituality so grand that we can now pass on to our real life, our home, and once again learn what it is to be free to explore the many realms of the spirit and the divine mind which is the ultimate state of consciousness."

Simple enough for me

I use to think that I didn't need church and that I could spiritually grow on my own. Big mistake for me. The individuals who can spiritually grow in Christ without the church, my hat goes off to them. Its very hard to keep other believers out of your life and grow spiritually. The Word of God does say in Hebrews 10:25, (And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together(church), as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another).
