You know what, you're right. And this should work both ways don't you think? I don't hate or disrespect those who believe and/or there beliefs or reasoning(s). Why should i or anyone who thinks and believes in the same things that i do, have to be disrespected and looked down upon.

A believer who preaches "love one another" based on what Jesus taught, should not be Hating anyone, that would be hypocritical. We shouldn't be forcing our beliefs upon anyone, that is a choice you and I make on what we believe to be truth.

BTW, who said, I or anyone that's posted on this thread that we "hate non-believers. My brother is an atheist, but he is searching for truth, I love him none the less.

I heard Tounges is the languige used in heaven and hell. Just like when you die, your skin stays on earth and olny your soul lives on......its the same with your nationality, we all look the same and speak the same in after death. We were only assighned nationalitys and lanuiges after the tower of babble.

No one actually said the word hate, but the atheist(or maybe just me) were looked down upon. As if our opinion or point of veiw were not respected.

lol, that's very kind and thank you, but no one ever said that the truth lies in god or in the bible.
 
It's not so much the hating, as the holding your beliefs onto others.

If I hear more talk about how gays shouldn't be married....because the "bible" says it's wrong, I'll scream.

I have just as much right as anyone on this board, or anyone in this world to be married to the one I love. To prevent me from doing so because of what the bible says is wrong.


I went to my parents' church tonight for Ash Wednesday. I don't attend services there, because I don't always feel like I belong there. On the way out, one of the priests was discussing the amendment to stop gay marriage. I questioned him on it, and his response was that it was "morally wrong" for gays to marry.

I told him I am gay, and disagree with that.

His reply was "It is ok to be homosexual, as long as you don't practice your homosexuality."

I replied "Thank you. And it's ok for you to be religious, as long as you don't practice your religion."

He had no response to that......:lol

One thing people have not mentioned is THE DEVIL and PURE EVIL?LIKE THE EXORCIST,can EVIL be that strong and take over SOMEONE WHO IS GOOD??Remember THE OMEN,DAMIEN,666,ROSEMARYS BABY-I can see EVIL in peoples eyes,they smile and act nice to you,but are DEMONS from HELL.

I don't like to talk religion because it's very easy to offend people. The bible is a book that it's open to interpretation so it's very subjective matter. What you believe is affected by many things, including nurture, intellect, etc.

The one thing that I believe is that by asking why God allows things to happen, we remove ourselves (as humans) from any blame, we put it all on God. God may have created the cosmos, but it is a gift to us and he allows us to do what we want.
There will be storms and earthquakes because the earth is not static, it moves and changes with time. Unfortunately people are sometimes in the way of nature.

Disease and famine are a direct result of how we as humans interact within ourselves and within nature.

Crime seems to be about passion (sometimes) but mostly it's about SELFISHNESS.

A rapist puts his sexual and perverse needs before the rights of the victim. He or she only care about themselves.

A drug dealer loves the GREEN more than his fellow human. "Take the drugs, give me my money". I have NO respect for people that love money more than their community. Those people (to me) are selfish.

Crooks are selfish because they don't care about whether I worked for YEARS to get what I got, they just come in, steal it and make it their own.

I am sometimes angry, but not at God, I am angry with HUMANS.

The bible claims that God is perfect in everyway, so for something/someone to come out so imperfect... it would have to have been done purposely. We blame god not cause we want to take our asses out of taking responsiblity for our actions, but we(I) blame him/her/it cause if s/he is so perfect, why did he make us this was than?

Either he made us like this on purpose or he's not as perfect as is said.

God made us in His image, satan causes us to hate and discriminate. Satan's plan is just this, to make people think that its God that is the one who is causing all the grief. Yet Satan or Lucifer, is sitting back enjoying every minute.
 
ok, according to the bible, satan was in the beginning, god's right hand angel and the highest angel next to micheal "jesus"....... so he wanted power for himself and decided to do it in a negative way.....therefore when god saw what he was all about and that he would not change,he cast him and his angels, "demons" out of heaven....if god is perfect why did he not see this coming and prevent it before it even happened?..... if he is such a loving god, why all the badness and evil in the world now?...... babies dying, children being murdered, women being raped, men being murdered for the $4 in their wallet....and satan....if he rules hell and when people are not good enough to get in to heaven they go to hell.....why do their families later see their spirits warning them not to do bad? like satan's really gonna let that soul out for a minute to warn someone against badness so they'll go to heaven with god? um.....ok......god, satan, ufo's, ghosts.....all are unexplainable....that does not mean that they do not exist.....free will? i dunno, if there is a god and a satan.....do we go to one of them when we die?.....we will never know until we die so it remains a mystery...i do believe in a higher power though i do not refer to it as "god"....everybody has good and bad in them and it's our choice how we use what we have in us...i also believe that if we are comfortable with ourselves and be the best persons that we can be regardless of our beliefs....we will be just fine.....
