I will not pass judgement on any of you. Everyone chooses what they want to believe and that I understand is your right. I probably won't agree with everyones lifestyles here, and I am sure alot of you could care less about mine. With that being said, I don't like a complicated life, and trying to figure out where we came from, why are we here, who is GOD and so-on is too much work. So I read a bunch of books on all types of religions and evolution. Evolution has got to be the furthest from the truth and you have to have more faith in believing we came from apes than GOD. That being said , I was turned on to the bible by my girlfriend who is now my wife. I struggled with the bible for years because I had no knowledge of it even though I was catholic. But the church didn't never really teach the bible, it was mostly tradition more than a spiritual growth.

I knew there was a higher power, because there is no way we can be communicating intelligently like we do without a higher power's influence. Out of faith only, I accepted Jesus into my life as Lord and Savior, I didn't need or want proof of his sacrifice for me. I like too keep it simple, so my favorite scriptures about how everything was creating and where we come from are;

Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Who and what is the Word?

John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh(Jesus), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

That's what I believe Cf'rs. simple and too the point.

If you want a place in heaven, God made us a offer none of us would want to refuse. Its a gift from God.

Say this if you are truly wanting peace in your life and a place in heaven, never too be taken away. Jesus died once, not a thousand times. It only takes you saying this 30 second prayer.

How can one do that? How can one say, "you know what, it's just easier believing than it is not". Settling down for something just cause it's painful to go in the opposite direction. You know, you're right Skoza. It is easier to simply give in. It's easier on the mind, soul and body. But if that doubt is always going to be there, a person cannot be happy. If you find yourself having to read the bible, becasue the sinful thought of "why?" or the sinful action of doubt crossed your mind, than there's a problem. It's a problem because one is trying to surpress the emotions be ingulfing themselves in the scriptures. Brainwashing yourself.
 
Its simple to me because it makes the most sense to me, so there is no problem with my decision. I gave alot of thought before I made my decision to believe that there is a higher power in this world and his name JESUS. No doubt in this mind at all. You say brainwashing, that could go both way's. You could be brainwashed by man's attempt to keep you from God. Have you though of that. I would rather be engulfed in God than be engulfed in the world. So if you want to call me brainwashed, that's fine, I'd rather be brainwashed by Jesus, than be brainwashed with man's attempt to be a god.

I understand how you feel PSYCHO-right now I am in DEPRESSION and pray to god sometimes,I feel that he is there sometimes and other times I get so angry at him,which in reality I am mad at myself.I feel not well alot,I feel I have the same illness that KRISTY McNICHOL has and right now I cant afford to see a doctor about it,I just got to go on with my life,thats what God wants.
 
Let's just agree to disagree. I've noticed that in all the arguments that i've had, there's always loop holes and a vague argument for everything that is stated in the bible or in that religous people believe in. I could have 'em in the corner ready for a knock out, but then they swing to the side with another idea/belief/argument/statement etc. Just never any fact/logic or simple proof.

You said; "Go for the knockout"!!! let go of your Pride. I will defend my belief to the best of my ability. You say we swing to the side, I say the unbelievers swing to the side because they don't want a higher power to answer too,with the exact same excuses you mentioned above.

For the last 10 to 15 years I've studied the Paranormal, I have no Official degree or any social certifiction, But I have read up on topics held interview and even participated in investigations. From all the info I have gathered, seen and experianced, I can honestly say there is somthing else out there. I have never been able to tie it to any biblical source. Demonic or otherwise. But I do believe there is another realm where we continue our journey. It is always diffrent in every case, just as we are diffrent from one another. Just believe and allow your eyes and mind to see, and you will. Our one sided opinions are what hinder our growth.
 
I beleave theres a ton of stuff out there but the scorce is GOD, He didnt just create us. I do beleave in Ghost but I think its Satan playing with our heads, taking our minds off god, but yes it doese exsists.
