Thanks for the info Harv. I never realized that Energy was not doing so well being dance and all. What a shame. I know not much in the way of new Freestyle was being played on the station but at least they didn't totally ignore it. Safire/Cynthia's "Can you stand the rain" and the China Dolls "I'll know how to love you" at least made it in airplay. B96 will never change. How are their ratings? Does anyone know?

oops, I found it. How sad! I thought that they had higher ratings than B96. I guess Hip-Hop has taken over the whole dance market. That bites!

I don't think Chicago is ghetto. I think hip-hop has and is being forced down everyone's throats these days by radio and record stations, including MTV. The day that I have to play hip hop when I DJ, will be the day that I give it up.

peeps, this kat is a radio legend here in chi-town, he gave us a chance when others would not...he tutored the likes of candi gomez where she got her start on wcyc...he gave the newbies their time in the spotlight that helped boost their presense here and other places. not enough can be said bout what harv has meant to freestyle and freestyle radio here in chicago since it started. hes been there from the beginning and never strayed from that journey he started wayyyyy back when freestyle was just the newest sound on the market.

I am not from Chi-Town, I am from Waukegan, which they call Lil Chi-Town, near the border of IL and WI. I wish I lived in Chicago, that way I can get the radio station that Harv is on. I would listen every Friday! love ya SHY!
