Wow Victor that sounds great, two dates are perfect!

Just for the fact that if some artist can't be present on the first date they have the second date to make it. Also, for those that can't be present at the first show can probably be at the second show or maybe even both.

It's not that we are having two toy drives, it's the fact that people are willing to come together and help. We must take advantage of the situation and do all we can. Either way, we are collecting for a good cause and doing it from our hearts and not to look good. Many members from Latin Freestyle are also willing to help, so if we come together on these dates for the cause and put our difference aside, that would be wonderful.

This is all for the love of music and for the children that will one day grow up loving and enjoying our music too. Peace to all!🙂
 
I UNDERTSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING FERNANDA BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE HEADS UP. EVERYONE WAS ALREADY GOING TO THE FIRST ONE ON THE 17TH. WHAT EVER THE CASE LET US KNOW WHAT WE ARE GONNA DO.

All I was doing was trying to do something POSITIVE for the children. At first no one showed intrest and now look. What did I do wrong? Every one wants to help, I am not the one to cause division, It was my idea and I am not asking for anything in return!!!
 
Ok, I can see that Victor was trying to do a good thing, but I can see Jack's frustration.

Personally, I think if anything is being done for the kids at this time of year it's for Christmas. ANd there is no point in collecting toys 2 days after Christmas.

Not to mention the fact that Jack contacted a fundraising group on this, and it looks really unprofessional and embarassing when another date gets set somewhere else.

I think that's where the upset and confusion lie. I also noticed jack saying for you to hold on and he would get you details, and that he had a backup venue in case this one didn't work, which again was unlikely.

So if I were him, I'd be pissed too, although I don't think it was meant to divide the attempt at unity.

My suggestion is to have it on the 17th at the college with a toy drive as originally intended.

If the event on the 27th is still wnated by people, then make that a food drive. Most food banks' dontations dwindle off after Christmas. People unintentionally forget that the underprivileged need to eat after Christmas, not realizing that CHristmas and Thanksgiving bring out a lot of people needing help and the food stores tend to dwindle and have a very slow replenishment through donations.
 
I don't see whats wrong with having two events, in the end it is all being done to benefit people in need. Everyone is welcome to the events regardless of who organized them, lets not make something positive into something negative. We should all be satisfied that soo many people are willing to take their time out to perform and help organize this. I hope this doesnt make people turn away from attending or performing at blossoms or at the place Jack is looking into. Dammit its the Christmas season cant we all just get along please :sadsmile

First. I never said it was a X-mas event. This is the third time I mention it. Second this is the last time I suggest or try to do something positive. I am not taking sides or kissing up to nobody. I apoligize Jack for the misunderstanding. With all do respect,

OK I see my post was deleted but that's beside the point here. I see who wants to look good and how things are handled here.

First, this should have been handled over the phone and not on the board.

Second, the other club was a good idea since the 17th falls on a Tuesday and the 27th falls on a Friday. You go figure which one would have had more people regardless of which website suggested it.

Thirdly, the college was never confirmed. It is still being worked on and regardless of where this would have been held, the toys would have goned to the charity that Jacks college uses.

I see that people don't look at doing something good as that- doing something good. But rather, people bring up unnecessary issues to make things impossible. Who cares where this will be done at, if people show up and toys are collected then our intention were good. But if this is only being done to look good to certain people. I don't want any part of it.

I see people drowning in a cup of water and I'm sorry, I'm no life saver. To each their own, I for one will do what I can when ever and where ever this takes place. Regardless of the websites involve. This is why freestyle is and will remain divided because of bullshit between people and the fact that we can not support each other.

Victor, keep your head up and lets do this. We have the support of the artist and they will go where ever we say because they are doing it for the cause and nothing else.
 
The original idea was a good one I understood Victor came on asking for help Jack offered and got a place a date was the only thing aside from artist was to be confirmed. The point of this event is for a toy drive which would mean children would come down to the event meet and greet the artist and be given these gifts a bar/lounge is not the proper setting for children to come too and most of if not all the artist have confirmed for the 17th for this event it really makes no sense to have to seperate events, and I am not sure many artist would commit too two seperate dates. If admission is being charged in this bar/lounge it isnt fair to the people going to support the event and I am sure artist will not be to keen into showing to an event that has been posted up as a charity event. I feel the original date should be kept the children will be looking forward to recieving gifts for X mas not after. 🙂
 
Sexy your absoulutely right. I didnt even think about that point. We should just stick to the orignal plan. I'm all for this and I'm inviting as many people as i can. I'm even planning to get donations from work and friends who wont be able to make it to the event. So please stop the drama and lets move forward.
