Wow this is amazing but also a blessing. Great job Victor, looks like this will be a Merry, Merry Christmas after all. Hope this happens, just to imagine the joy on these childrens faces as I witness the joy on my daughters face when she had to spend Christmas in the hospital. It's an overwhelming feeling. God bless all the artist that are willing to take the time out of their lives to do something as special as this. Let do it!!!😉
 
All I can say is...

All I can say is that I pray to God that this event takes place. I'm excited and I really hope that this works out for the children more than anything. I am exciting but I am not counting my chickens before they are hatched just yet. I know everyone who has volunteerd is doing it from the heart and that is half the battle. I think my satisfaction will be watching all these performers pouring out thier hearts for this just cause. Waiting anxiously.....

Hi Victor, I can't speak for Kenny since he is doing what he does on his own.

But for me - I always love to do this and when I saw that many of
you do also. It got be pumped.

This week the call will be coming in with venue details.

I would like to see some help from our allies at LatinFreestyle
and I can only hope they will be receptive to this.

I want to annonce that Ashley is in!!! I will keep the LF board posted as I also have gotten requests via e-mail for other artists but I have told them I am waiting for you to get the call. Hey Jack we must put a backup plan in effect for a diferent location just in case. Please advise!!!
 
Oh Yes Victor a backup plan in this case is a given.
Although our initial plan is Solid and I have personally
been at these events many times. I do have a backup
plan which will be initiated if something does not go through.

But Very Confidant - Very Faithfull that our original
plan is on target.

I do have backup venue that i am sure we will be More then welcomed
at. But the initial venue and the initial people that are helping
us - have got a firm grip on throwing toy drives.

I just can't post much until the call this week when I know
100% details.

A call to singers, December 27, confirmed at Blossoms

I got confirmation for December 27 at Blossoms at Bay Ridge Brooklyn. I know Jack is still waiting for the call from Robert Lubell from the Dare to dream foundation. I need to know from the performers if they can confirm this date of December 27 which will give us plenty of time to promote it! The event at Blossoms will go strictly for the children and if Robert Lubell confirms December 17 then the artists that can make it to this event can do so and the ones that can't can perform at Blossoms. In any case all artist are welcome for both if you can make it. I did'nt think this would grow as it has so please, e-mail me at victorvegaproductions@yahoo.com and tell me if you can make it December 27, 2002.
 
Victor I have a show that day in Queens, but if it's an early event I will go there first then head to my show. dejama saber nene.😉
 
It's not a second Toy Drive

When I started with this idea, at first it seemed that it was disregarded. I posted a thread here and at Latin freestyle. Well what happened was that DJ Gumby was able to get Blossoms Lounge for us and confirmed a date for us. I am not an event organizer I am only asking for help for a good cause which will only help the children. It is up to the performers now. I don't want this to become a conflict of some sort. So now we need to decide how to handle this.

making all these posts here and getting our whole organization ready for this??

I am not the smartest guy in the world - but I see something is astray here. You cant set something up like this with us - make us
contact Artists / Organizations and Fans - only to pick another
date & venue and have the peeps Email you for that Venue & Date.

Seems like when allot of Artits agreed and fans went wild you took the toy drive back for youself and made it a different event.

That was not appreciated.

I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THIS WAS BEING DONE ON THE 17TH AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE ALL GOT TOGETHER THEN TO DO THIS. PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR AS TO WHEN THIS EVENT IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE AND WHERE SO WE CAN TAKE TIME OUT OF OUR BUSY SCHELDULE TO ATTEND AND SUPPORT THIS EVENT.
 
Not for anything, but isn't Christmas on the 25th? What's the point of a Christmas toy drive 2 days after Christmas?
