I made it to the Auto Nation 2003 show. On the way there, I got pulled over driving my brother's van.. cop said I was doing 87 km/h in a 50 km/h zone (I don't doubt it) on the exit from Richmond Street to Adelaide Street (I think). I told him I thought it was an exit to the DVP (turns out the DVP exit was about 200 yards ahead of me) so I sped up since the DVP is 90 km/h. He handed me a $277.00 ticket! Thankfully he wrote the wrong date and time and the wrong birthdate. He must have been drunk... we'll see how it goes in court!
The Auto Nation show was nice, there were way too many Hondas for my taste though... I saw a nice 240 with a carbon fiber hood though. Lots of eye candy.
But the most important part, the Planet Freestyle concert, started with Anthony Gitto, then Zoe (she was awesome!), then Kathy Phillips, then Freda. Kathy Phillips' new song wasn't so hot (not as good as "I Wish") but Freda's song "See The Sun" sounded nice. Zoe's new track was the best one though! The crowd wasn't so huge, I wish more freestyle fans showed up to support freestyle music. Of course for $15.00 per ticket it would take someone who likes cars AND freestyle.
I got a chance to talk to Chris Phillips, and bought the Planet Freestyle vol. 4 and Planet Freestyle 2000 CDS from him.
Hey guys I was there too. At around 6:00, but I didn't see any of ya. I guess that's because I've never met any of y'all, but oh well. I was too nervous to talk to anybody, but I did get to talk to Chris and Kathy Phillips. They were both awsome!!!
