Im not really familiar with any of the new freestyle artists so if u could give me some suggestions of great songs since 1995 id appreciate it... i think the last actual LP i bought here in NYC was Angelique's - Cant Live Without You...I LOVE THAT SONG. Freestyle is so hard to find here 🙁

I agree w/ Elear for Laura. 1998, I think.
1st verse - good; 2nd verse - sucks!

I hate the lines:

and I hate the way she says "Here's my cha-hance".
Irene made the melody better, but the music in Laura's version is way better. (I'm rambling.) 😛
 
i got that LP (HOW I LOVE HIM)...i guess THAT was the last one i bought...thats a nice jam!

Cynthia's "Thinking About You" beats any track on any Cd after 1995. She is the queen of freestyle. If you hadn't heard it buy the maxi single on CD.

I agree Starr...she IS the queen! i do have that song...and toni...i just heard that george lamond song...its pretty nice...id never heard it... 😀
 
Jason, personally think Laura's version of "Only In My Dreams" is better than Irene's version overall...i think it has better production, better vocals, and a better melody too...I like how Laura's vocals flow more smoothly, since she uses Legato, as opposed to Irene's approach, using Staccato.
 
I agree that Laura's version is better overall, voice-wise and production-wise. I just think Irene's melody for those two lines I mentioned sound more natural. That's me, though.
 
i agree with chaos

cynthia's "if i had the chance" is a great newer freestyle song that still has the slammmin style of classic freestyle. I have the cd single with all the different versions. They all PUMP!!!!

Im Noticing People like Alot Of Garbage Like That Electronic Planet Rock Jump Up And Down And Blow Bubble Gum Freestyle Sh*t. Whats Up With That? What happend 2 The Old Skool Beat Lovers When Freestyle Songs Took Time 2 Make. And Producers Took Thier Time Makin Sick Versions???
