i hear u on that one .. das why i got hooked on 'louder than love' .. it has that sound to it in the beat that goes so perfectly with the song. dunno how to explain how the sound goes but im sure u know what im talkin bout

i think mine was Joyce Simms - All In All and Nice n Wild - Diamond Girl

Jane Katherine - Take My Love
Soraya - I Never Loved You

Both homegrown Chicago hits back in 88/89. Also was the invasion of Mic Mac during that period in Chicago.

HEY WASSUP???

WELL FOR ME I WOULD HAVE TO SAY CYNTHIA "THIEF OF HEART" AND ALSO JOHNNY O "FANTASY GIRL" AND TKA'S "LOUDER THAN LOVE" AND ALSO I'M NOT SURE BUT I THINK SHE WAS NOT AROUND AT THE TIME ... BUT MAYBE YOU CAN CONFIRM IT FOR ME...ITS DENIZ BUT I DON'T REMEBER WHAT SONG IT WAS... I WAS LIKE 16 OR 17 YEARS OLD BACK THEN ... NOW I'M 28... SO LET ME KNOW IF SHE WAS AROUND BACK THEN ... THANKS .... LOL... SONEYE

First song I heard was "I'll Be All You Ever Need" by Trinere. It was in 1986 in 8th grade, and I been hooked ever since.

Effie 😀

Tka " Louder Than Love" ...I heard that song and went crazy!! To this day I still go crazy over that song!

SILENT MORNING! Ok, I may have sort of liked "Let The Music Play" first, but as a lilrockandrollgirl, it was SM that allowed me to open my mind a touch!

For me, it was "One Way Love" by TKA...I would take my sister's tape and would play it over and over!!!

Randi (FreestyleGal)

Noel-Silent Morning, Cover Girls-Show me. I loved those songs when I first heard them on WPGC here in DC(back in the late 80's when they used to play good music). Since then I got hooked on dance music period.

Well Shannon's Give Me tonight got me started but I would have to say that it was Sweet Sensation's Hooked on You , The "Diamond Dub" with the crazy edits not the regular version. I was also a listener of Hot 97 (hot 103) before the format change

THAT SONG WAS RELEASED IN 86😎 EFFIE WAS RIGHT..THE FOLLOWING IS TAKING FROM TRINERE'S BIO ON CD NOW..........NOTE THEY HAVER HER DOWN AS A BAND LOL

A dance/disco band that recorded a handful of singles for Jam Pack from 1985-1987, none of them ever moving beyond the lower depths of the R&B chart, except for "I'll Be All You Ever Need" in 1986, which stalled at number 32. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
