The mix of "It Must Be You". Latin rascals Dub Version Vs. DJ Paradises.....

I heard Paradises mix of "it must be you" but I must say I would rather prefer the dub mix they did back in the days. Paradises was also a kick ass mix but I like the L.R.'s 1989 dub mix better. I felt that Paradise didnt have to touch the mix since im so used to the dub. There's nothing that can top it in my book. What do you think?

Also, I think if Paradise wanted to mix a track.....I felt he shouldve mixed "life's too short". I dont know of any mixes of this track except the long original version

Orgnator: maybe you misinterperated the mix. You can't compare the dub mix to Paradise's multi edit mix. The dub mix was just that; a rascal dub where the rascals concentrated on syncopated edit pattern beats and samples more than multi edits. Paradise's mix isn't a dub. The rascals dub isn't a multi edit mix and it didn't contain elements from every part of the record. I know the record back to front and paradise used pieces from each part of the record.
So out of respect to the Latin Rascals and Dj Paradise (whom I believe has tremendous respect for the Latin Rascals) the two shouldn't be compared.
The rascal dub remains the rascal dub and Paradise's extreme and most entertaining multi edit mix of this song is an entity in itself.
5 stars for both the dub and paradise's multi edit mix. And a very personal 2 thumbs up for Paradise bringing it to another level with his incredible Multi edit of this song. IT MUST BE THE EDITS!!!!

Well I found that mix too foggy. Too many samples used. I like the dub because of the beats in it. There are no scratches or nothing just pure ass kickin beats.
