In reply to all the hubbub about The Cover Girls and to all of those who posted "OPINIONS":

I am finally glad to see that the Cover Girls are getting the exposure that they richly deserve (Good or Bad....exposure is exposure)!! I have been a loyal fan since the beginning when Show me first hit the charts. True, the make up of the group has changed many times over but I believe the essence of what "The Cover Girls" truly represent and stand for has stood the test of time and remains loyal to their fan base.
EVELYN ESCALERA (NOT EVELYN ESCOBEDO, Let’s Get It Right!!) joined the group back in 1991, ACTUALLY replacing Angel when Angel departed the group for whatever reason. Now as a loyal fan of the group, I was devastated but I had to look past the betrayal and disappointment I felt (as I'm sure, many others did). The torch was passed; the group still remained at that point with a NEW LEAD SINGER EVELYN who DID and PRESENTLY CONTINUES to do a FANTASTIC job. . . I've seen them perform live and not only do they kick a** but they ALSO SING...SING LIVE and SING WELL!!! Their performance is great!! I can state for a fact that even though they still perform "the classics" (that we love to hear) like Show Me, Because Of You etc...sung by Angel; ANGEL”S LEAD VOCALS ARE NOT IMITATED, DUPLICATED, OR EMULATED IN ANY FORM OR FASHION BY ANY MEMBER OF THE PRESENT GROUP!!
Yes, I have great memories of The Cover Girls from the past but as a TRUE fan of the ENTIRE group I also embrace The Cover Girls of the present.
Long Live The Cover Girls!! Yes, They Are Beautiful!!
 
Let's face it, dance music in America is not respected and overlooked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this was Europe ,we have alot more respect!!
Angel needs to include the Cover Girls with her name to draw in a crowd,MTV and Radio has abanded us, and plays the the terrible Rap/HipHop music.If we got play on T.V. or Radio believe me Freestyle and Dance music in general will have alot more hits.American's are not to bright when it comes to music art forms or art period.When things are to different,we shy away.I find it both sad and disturbing.No wonder this countrys gone through shits!!!
 
I just viewed some pictures of the girls on the KTU website at beatstock on both nights, for those still curious as to know what they look like performing.:face
 
Don't get me wrong, I love Angel and I absolutly will attend any and every show that she does BUT I had to put my info in here to even out the sides and get some truth out.

I have & always will continue to love The Cover Girls (& all their members).
I definately will ALWAYS love Angel & what she has done for the group, & for her solo career, but I definately embrace the NEW girls as well, & hope they release some new material.
& In my eyes, Evelyn is not a new member, but I cant wait to see them perform! 🙂
