start atkins diet today

started the induction phase of the atkins diet which means less then 20 grams carbs and a limit on caffiene for the next 2 weeks if anyone has advice let me know
 
IT`S A REALLY GOOD DIET.I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WERE ON IT AND LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT.JUST STICK TO YOUR PROTEINS LIKE CHICKEN,FISH,BEEF, AND YOU CAN EAT BACON,EGGS IT`S GOOD.FOR BREAKFAST YOU CAN HAVE BACON OR SAUSAGE AND EGGS WITH CHEESE.LUNCH MAYBE SOME COLD CUT ROLL UPS,DINNER CHICKEN OR A STEAK.
 
Good luck with that Ed!!! I excerise every morning with my TAE BO (gotta love Billy Blanks...LOL) And I'm lookin to join a gym. How much are you trying to lose, if you don't mind me asking?
 
my hubby did the atkins and yes it worked! as long as you stick to it. he had a nice six pack going on.....but that was 5 years ago!!

I want to do that diet myself. Evrytime I start it I mess up and go pass 20 grams of carbs. I will try again tomorrow. Hey Ed lets do this together bro then in 3 weeks lets put our pics up to see the difference.
 
Good Luck Ed! Keep with the program and don't go below 20 grams....you need those carbs. Also don't stay on that diet too long not good for you....but when you get off just gradually go into another diet.....healthier

stick 2 it and you will do good
first 2 weeks r hard after you get through that it's easy
 
if any one is on it what did u do for the first 2 weeks getting withdrawls because i miss my unsweeten ice tea that i make myself with fresh mint the diet doesnt allow for it becasue of the caffine
 
the hardest thing 4 me was leaving the sode,
i loved my sode, i had 2 start drinking diet
now thats my shyt
lol

all i can say is just stick 2 it and when you see that you have lost so much in so lil time, you won't mind giving up them things
my first 2 weeks i lost 15 lbs
and i have been on it 4 only a month and a half
just keep with it, it really works
 
As someone already said, just be careful. Cutting carbs like that so quickly and drastically can reall f*ck up your system. Without trying to be all medical in here, just wanna say the body needs carbs for energy, etc etc. Also loosing so much weight in such a short period of time can screw with the body as well. Maybe nothing will happen, maybe something will. It's a 50/50 crap shoot. Some of the affects this diet can cause do not show up right away, but in the long run may lead to health problems.

Not trying to scare anyone, or deter people from going on a diet, just pointing out some of the risks that are overlooked.
 
in case any one is interested lost 7 lbs already been very strict with it found good stuff like low carb pancake mix and other nice things
