I just weighed myself..... 194lbs (from 210lbs a few months ago.....) just by changing eating habits...... cutting way down on soda, french fries, greasy food, candy, chips...... etc..... and going to the gym as often as possible..... 🙂

I lost 60 lbs altogether, it’s been 18 months already. I couldn’t have done it without the help and motivation from my friends. A word of caution about the Atkins diet. You still need your carbs, they give you energy. So eventually you might try adding carbs and eliminating the fat grams. I did the atkins for a while and since I was doing exercises (gym freak- working out in the AM and PM) I got tired and use to fall asleep anywhere. Since I went to the extreme on this diet my Hemoglobin went down and thus causing me a lot of sleep at anytime. So just remember that as you gradually loose weight you might go increasing your carbs and lowering the fat grams. Remember a lot of red meat and fat grams can give you cholesterol. I don’t want to scare you, it’s just that diferrent body types react differently to the diets. I see it’s working for you keep up your good work.

Remember to exercise according to your level of fitness too. Whatever you like. I normally workout from Monday to Friday in the mornings and when I get off work early I workout at home. On the weekends I try to do some sporting activity that can keep me busy, dancing, bicycling, swimming, walking at the mall (this is my favorite). I’m glad for you. BTW I still have 30 pounds to go, to reach my height goals.
 
My Son Has A Heart Condition And Also Intestine Issues And His Diet Is Totally Fat Free With 65-70 Grams Of Protien. It Is A Very Strict Diet And He Would Get Upset If Anybody Was Eating Fries Ir Anything That Had Fat In It So We All Cut Out The Fat And Ate Alot Of High Protein Foods And Without Realizing It, My Husband Went From 185 To 156 In 2.5 Months And I Went From 130 To 105, I Also Do Winsor Pilates. It Works Good For Me....
 
The first 3-4 weeks are torture, after that, you won't miss the carbs or sweets as much.
