I have a freestyle cd with Wiggle It by 2 In a Room on it.and Jam On It by Newcleus.

Hey I have a cd with "Wiggle it" too and "Jam On It" I have on a compilation of freestyle hits. I would definately say that these 2 songs are freestyle for sure, just with a little house edge to them. Damn you know what song always reminded me of freestyle even though it's not, "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by Kim Wilde, that is the song right there. Do you guys think Lisa Lisa is freestyle with "Head To Toe" i heard it on Judy Torres's freestyle show the other night and I was like why is she playin this? LoL. Get back to me.

:yeey :spin

Well I think NU Shooz " I can't wait " was more pop..but peope consider it freestyle.. What about "In the name of the Game" by Dan hartman. What about Nia peeples.. she had a song call "trouble and " I know how to make you love me".... Even the Mexican By jelly bean was considered Freestyle??? what are you comments ??? Or Regina " Baby Love" Even DEPECHE Mode " Strange love " had some freestyle elements on the song and also early Madonna sounded like freestyle like Physical Atrraction and "Think Of Me". What about Gabrielle " The Bottom Line"??? let meknow your comments

I agree with what your saying I mean I wouldn't necessarily call all these songs you spoke of freestyle but they certainly have the element of freestyle sound within them which is not a bad thing at all. I mean it's kool to hear songs from back in da day that have that sound to them because it makes you think how truly BIG the genre of music was that so many people looked toward it for success.

Hey I just wanted to ask you guys what do you think of Alisha???
do u think "Too Turned On" and "All Night Passion" and "Baby Talk" were freestyle jams or were they more dance I always thought Too Turned on was the Cover Girls or Expose when I was a little kid but I do think they are freestyle, so let me know.

:blah 😛 :blah :hearton

expose - let me be the one, still iffy bout that one cause its too downbeat to really be pure freestyle

and taylor dayne - tell it to my heart and jody watley - don't you want me both are pretty much freestyle songs to me, though im sure the intention of both those songs was not freestyle.

then there's madonna - die another day, the intention im sure wasnt freestyle but its funny there's a canadian track i know on the "return of planetfreestyle" CD which clearly uses the die another day sound

LOL .......Its amazing what some consider to be freestyle.......and what some consider not to be freestyle. Theres no "Freestyle Production Rule Book" But theres a formula and a combination of elements that make a song freestyle and as freestylaz we should all know this formula by now............Its Automatic is 100% freestyle and La rissa's Jay and Jane is a prime example Progressive freestyle. Again ,theres no hand book that can confirm this...but if you listen to enough freestyle and dont exclude your self from The other Locations and Time Periods that freestyle is being released...Youll see the pattern.

A freestyle mix for "Die another Day" was made available to record pools in Canada back then. Since our freestyle in Canada includes breaks, breakbeat, elctro, energetic 2 step, planet rock, progressive in adddition to the traditional old school latin hearthrob sound, the combination is endless. "The return of planet freestyle" cd is a prime example of our sound using planet rock base with all the above elements. If you check out Emanuel's track on the "Freestyle Heaven 5" cd, it uses the exact cue as the freestyle mega hit in the 2 step genre "Daniel Bedinfield-Gotta get through this (D&D Radio Edit)" which was available on ZYX Germany's Freestyle Vol. 17.

2 without hats - try yazz
2 in a room - wiggle it

just a few. clearly house records

anyone remember NIGHTTIME LOVEKIND - Dino
it was on the same CD as sumergirls.....it was a bonus track
now that was a tight freestyle jem that was never big

I Think Samantha Fox's "I wanna have Some Fun" was more "Early House/ Freestyle". Now her otha Jam "Naughty Girls" is DEFINITELY Freestyle!

Jody Watley's "Don't U Want Me" is Freestyle to me.
Back then, even if they weren't Freestyle artists, they still borrowed from the sounds.

That was "the sound" for the mid-late 80's.
Plus Mainstream artists would have Freestyle producers make some of their hits, or have them remixed, & they would turn out to be Freestyle, ...even if the artist wasn't.

Janet Jackson
Madonna
Pebbles
Dino
The Party
Dan Hartman
Nia Peeples
Pet Shop Boys
Whitney Houston
Debbie Gibson

...& Many more, were non-freestyle artists that have Freestyle produced songs or mixes that are considered Freestyle to many.

: )

PSB DOMINO DANCING, SEVERAL FREESTYLE MIXES AROUND

speaking of pet shop boys and domino dancing........
that song has backgroud vocals by voice in fasion who at the time was on the same label as pet shop boys
