I heard about this today, it's so sad. I have an 11 year old son. I told him about it this morning. He tried to say he would kick somebody in the nuts if they tried to take him. I told him he thinks he would do that, and if someone wanted to take him, they'd take him, he's not stronger than an adult man. I'm going to make him watch it on the news today, you know it will be everywhere... I just feel sorry for this girl's parents and her family. May God rest her pour soul...
 
Hunnie, my daughter says the samething, when she walks by herself, I drill the samethings into her head everytime.,,"what do you do if a car pulls up and they try to talk to you," "what if someone is following you,", etc,and she tells me the samething, she will kick him in the nuts. She really doesnt think it could happen. The scary thing is, most kids are helpless to protect themselves from an adult, and if they want to pull them in a car, chances are they will be able to. It is so tough, cause you want them to learn to be independent, but the world is so scary, it isnt like when we were kids. Letting them go anywhere by themselves is terrifying.
 
I just heard on the news that this animal that killed Carlie used to live right near me in Canarsie, Brooklyn. It makes me sick to think that he lived so close.

this is a real tragedy, when I heard the news this morning I was so disgusted. and to think that some of these low lives live right where we do....I have a 7 yr old daughter who i'm afraid to send to school now.
 
Its so scary that things like this happen everday,not just kids disappearing,but adults too.Their are so many evil people out their,its hard to trust anyone.Many times you dont know if your being watched or planned to be the next victim.Im in my 20's and man,and there are many times,people followed me from work,trying to get to know me or asked if I needed a ride home.They seem nice, but it is sary,you cannot trust no one.What goes on in the minds of these people who kill??I BELIEVE PURE EVIL EXISTS and killng this beautiful young girl,who is pure GODLY GOOD is evidence,that it does exist.
 
this was an awful tragedy.....my heart goes out to that family and I hope that killer gets what he deserves!
