Before I begin this review, I would like to thank Bobby Leal and everyone else at BLFY Productions/WITL Music. It was a very pleasant surprise to receive a package containing your CDs...For those who are familiar with Bobby Leal's previous releases ("ONE MORE CHANCE" and "WHERE IS THE LOVE") you already have a feel for his style. For those who are not familiar with Bobby's music, his music is very raw and 100% back to basics Old School Freestyle.

I will say that some the tracks sound like they are demos and most likely are.

1. "OMC" Intro. - What a nice way to kick off the album. What we have here is an instrumental of "ONE MORE CHANCE" with Old School Multiple Edits!!!

2. "FEELS GOOD" - This is a Pop/R&B type of song with a slow tempo. The music is OK, but I'm just not feeling the song at all.

3. "FOR YOU" - An awesome Freestyle song with a Miami feel.

4. "NO MORE WAITING" - Kenny Freestyle delivers a nice Freestyle track that compliments Bobby's style perfectly. Also features additional vocals by Chako Beilin...

5. "ON THE WAY TO BOBBY LEAL'S" - This is just an interlude that falls shot of being 20 seconds...A hip-hop beat and a DJ scratching a sample of someone saying "ON MY WAY TO BOBBY LEAL'S".

6. "THIS LOVE" - An awesome Miami Freestyle track in traditional Bobby Leal fashion!

7. "ONE MORE CHANCE ' 96" - The remix (that was released on Tolga Katas' Summit Records) of Bobby's Freestyle classic. A nice update and a great song, but I still prefer the original version.

8. "MISDIRECTED LOVE" - Another great Miami flavored Freestyle track!

9. "FREESTYLE HOLOCAUST" - While the title puzzles me, this is another interlude running just over 1 minute long. It features a Miami beat, a sample of someone saying "Freestyle" while mixing in samples of "SAY IT'S GONNA RAIN" by Will To Power and "SECURITY" by The Beat Club.

10. "NO REASON TO CRY" (Cactus Mix) - The first of two Judy Torres remakes. While most Old School Freestyle lovers will like the music Bobby laid down for the track, most people will be disappointed by the vocals. Bobby's voice is unique and doesn't quite fit the song.

11. "TAKE ME AWAY" - Another great Old School sounding Freestyle song!

12. "THAT'S THE WAY I LOVE YOU" - Taking a break from Freestyle, this a House song - I'm not feeling it.

13. "BLUE" - Another House track - sounds retro with the organs and saxophone. Again, not feeling this one.

14. "WHERE IS THE LOVE" (Miami Live) - Bobby attached an intro to his classic song which features a reprise of the bride and chorus over a keyboard before going into the song. Also added were crowd noise and Bobby talking to a crowd to give it the "Live Performance" feel. The song itself is the original version and still a favorite!

15. "HOLDIN' ON" (Baja Mix) - Another creative remake of a Judy Torres classic. Again, Bobby's voice just doesn't do Judy's song justice.

16. "MIND GAMES" - Another House track, but I actually like this one. The music is bit on the dark side, and Bobby speaks and sings over the song basically telling his girl that he is tired of the mind games she is playing and if she can be honest with him then she might as well leave and never come back!

17. "TAKE ME AWAY" (Reprise) - I suspect that this was the demo version of the song. It is pure Old School and slammin'!!!

18. "FREDITS FOR YOU" (Outro.) - Approximately 3 minutes of a Miami style beat, bassline and Old School Multiple Edits.

19. "ONE MORE CHANCE" (Original Version) - The original Bobby Leal classic!!! Unfortunately the song came off a 12" single instead of the original master recording (the record has some pops and crackle and you can hear some rumbling from the turntable's platter). This song will always be one of my favorites!!!

Overall - this is a solid album of pure 100% hardcore Freestyle. For those who aren't hardcore Freestyle fans they may not appreciate this album as they will not like the simple Old School tracks or Bobby's unique vocals. While none of these songs will ever get any serious airplay, this is a gem for the Bobby Leal fans and Freestyle collectors!

The title says it, this EP contains 4 tracks, 1. "TAKE ME AWAY" and 2. "NO MORE WAITING" which are featured on Bobby's full length album JOURNEY FROM THE PLANET FREESTYLE (see above) and 2 other songs...

3. "I LOVE TO LOVE YOU" (featuring Betsy Bludau) - I wasn't feeling this song. It has a medium tempo and a dance/R&B type of feel. For some reason I can't help but to think of Madonna when I listen to this track. It sounds oddly familiar.

4. "FEELS SO GOOD" by Danielle Martinez - Bobby wrote and produced the song, Danielle delivers a typical female Freestyle vocal. The song is good and has a nice Miami feel.
