Every single freestyle fan has a responsibility to make sure that they stand up and unite as one. With the recent events that have happened I am sad and disappointed to see fans taking sides and seeing promoters turning their backs on freestyle music.
Do we remember why we even started hearing freestyle or better yet where and how freestyle came to be?? Im not gonna stand here and get on a high horse people but are we gonna allow ourselves to loose freestyle music forever this time???
Yes we need to remember that first of all this is a business like any other. But as any business it can only be as good as its workers and managers. But I also tell every single worker and manager out there you dont dictate what your customers get, they dictate to you what they want.
Every single day I learn something new about life and the mucic business. Some of them are good some are not. But are we going to let our music and I will say it again OUR music DIE.......
I have seen alot of doors being open and even more being closed for freestyle music over the years. And everytime we make progress us the fans kill it. Not supporting artists and going to shows and we expect our music to survive???? Come on people. We have radio stations playing freestyle that have not done so in years. Years people!!!! And we dont support this events come on...
I say if we are to keep our music alive then go out buy a CD from a new artist to promote freestyle go to the shows. And email and call radio stations in your area and other areas that you know where they play freestyle.
Back in 1983 freestyle music was just a sound herd in the streets. By the late 80's it was main stream. But now in 2002 its very close to being just a memory in our dreams. YOu tell me what you guys think are thinking and planning to do to change this state. Or you might as well say RIP freestyle music 82-02.........
