i dont really consider forever a house album...it had different flows throughout the record...look at "you dont feel it", "now that youre gone", sexual fantasy", say the word"....those were great tracks...

on the other hand...... the only song Kim likes from TKA is Louder Than Love!!!!!! 🙂

except for when will i see u again which i think is one of their best songs,that new cd sux.i'm a vinyl collector,so when i got that song on vinyl,i was really disappointed.i wanted to brake the vinyl ,but i didn't cuz of my consideration for them.

as for the "forever" album, I thought it was great. It illustrated the groups ability to expand into other genres of music. Sure it didnt contain any freestyle songs BUT let's face it...how many albums in the past few years contained freestyle? Not many.

As many freestyle artists have done in the past, (La India, Brenda K Starr & Marc Anthony) TKA was doing the same. They were merely doing what any other musical group would do. Get more fans.

Tommy Boy felt at the time of the albums release that it should drop its "freestyle/dance" stand. As that went into effect, the album and group was dropped from the label, therefore creating absolutley no promotions.

TKA as a whole did their part as promoting goes. They did the in stores signings, mentioned and performed the song/album in all thier shows, they even made radio and tv appearances to promote the album. I dont know how much more promotions a group can do other than what they did. They did more than enough.

I have long been a fan of TKA and it's funny that my least favorite song was one of their biggest hits ("Louder Than Love"). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE "Crash," "I Won't Give Up On You," and "Are You For Real," but my all-time favorite TKA song is "Tears May Fall," since the first time I heard it at 1018 and they used to play it twice back-to-back.
 
i really liked all of their early releases - but if i had to choose it would be "x-ray vision" , what was up with that song?

as for the young lady who a few months back sent me a letter about me being rude .. well my only reason for rudeness would either be the redundance of subject matter in here or the absolute stupidity in view points about freestyle/ tka/tkg/or who ever else
it may also be that honey is confusing my stern veiw point with rudeness
i'm not a little boy so joking around about my business is not my style .i love every single one of my fans including all those here on cf .who are the true reason i came back to tka/tkg to begin with. i just don't tolerate nonsense .

😱 I have to agree freestyle is what made them so I think they should
stay freestyle ok maybe throw some house tracks but not the whole album

YOU MUST BE USING THE ALBUM VERSION WHICH IS MIXED DOWN BECAUSE THE BOOTLEG IS A TAN COLORED LABEL AND SAYS TKA LOUDER THAN LOVE AND HAS THE SAME VERSION ON BOTH SIDES AND THAT WAS A DEMO RECORDING IF I EVER HEARD ONE. MAYBE KAY SEVEN CAN SHARE SOME LIGHT ON THIS ISSUE.
WAS IT A BOOTLEG OR A FINISHED PRODUCT THAT WAS CIRCULATED? MY ANSWER IS BOOTLEG.
 
My favorite back in the day of Roxy's, 1018, Heartthrobs and of course the ever famous Roseland, oh and not to forget The COPACABANA was "Tears may fall". The beats in this song paralled with the words, coerced the rhythym out of everyone. Even now, When I'm conducting morning workouts with my Army Soldiers we work out to the beat of TKA's greatest hits.
TKA now TKG, I'm sure you all are professional enough to take criticism from your fans and you are all(Especially K7 and GeorgeL) experienced enough to know, that everyone is NOT going to like the same things. Thats the beauty of the biz and thats why there are always REMIXes. I've traveled to alot of countries, and YES even in SAUDI ARABIA they've heard your music, I played it in my tent during the GulfWar and they (THE SAUDIs)bounced their heads. I won't say forget what criticisms you read here, I WILL SAY better yourselfs from it. After all its the FANS you want to keep, and if they are criticizing then you have the FANS listening and that spells SUCCESS.

You make a good point NYPRCAN.The fans are listening to TKA.Thats why its crucial that they represent latin hip hop/freestyle on their new CD.Its what their fans want.
