One morning I was listening to their morning show and Star mentioned TKA. He said he liked K7. He mentioned he liked their music and he thought TKA's Maria was a great song. Then he continued to explain to the listeners a bit more about the song. then he decided he would play the song! I was like OH SHIT!!. He said I like the song and TKA so much, I will give them props right here and now!!! He played "Maria" on Hot 97 that morning. 😀
 
Yeah, I wonder too. But the point is that if a person not related to the freestyle world, can support an artist merely because he admires his work, and is willing to support him at that level. So can we, regardless of whether or not they chose to continue with freestlye.

Oh, the producer of the show is Boriqua. I am sure he has been exposed to freestyle at some point in his life.😉
 
You know its funny how you say that regarding that he is boricua, cause you are right about that I think every boricua I dont care if he has been in hiding, has been exposed to freestyle one way or the other.....but you are right, music is music and if its sounds good, than we should accept it for what it is...and I ve been looking in Boston area for the cd, they wont have it until the actual date....cant wait to hear it......

I'm right here. I must be able to pull cars with the muscles on my neck from moving my head side to side reading some of the **%%## that some of these people write trying to justify trash. Must say one thing....George Lamond is the TRUE king of Freestyle...Yeah he crossed over to Salsa and he is killing them there...BUT he remembered us by dropping The hits and more with 5 new FREESTYLE songs and the rest of the hits....SO, for the ones who try to compare a group with him is **%%$ Don't use George Lamond as an example to try and remain standing in the same forum with the Legends solely because crossing over worked for George Lamond.

I want to have my say on this. About George Lamond.

I'm happy he's making spanish music. Not because I'm boriqua, but because HE chooses too.

He's given me great freestyle albums I will always cherish, and that is good enough for me. I don't need anymore if he doesn't choose to continue a freestyle path.

So he has all my support.

Like I said, the man is talented, he's go fluent english singing ability, and spanish too. AMEN FOR THAT, amen for a good spanish brother.

Toni and Rob.....you're wasting your time posting here...Nothing hurts more than the truth...why do you think this post is so long?? The truth burns them all up. TKA can say what they want, good or bad, about freestyle. The "fans" will buy ANYTHING that comes out....insults dropped or not (1993 was long ago BUT it happened). I'm a loyal fan to the artist who is loyal back. End of story. 🙂 P.S. There is more to freestyle than Tka.....ALOT more. Hey Latin Nation, are you working on anything as of late?? I saw you perform Nunca at the Diamante show last year.....I was hangin with Franco...ya did a great job. 🙂

let me just fill some things in...star is not the type of person to support ANYTHING that he doesnt personally like...i dont think its just cause k7 worked there...i dont even know if he still does...i think star generally had to like it to support it or like him...thats just my opinon on him...i mean and just cause peps worked together doesnt mean anything...when star had his little drama a while back over there...most of the other on air people wanted him fired!!! so i have to agree with spiral...i dont think it was cause he has pull there

Hey Anthony was up, thanks bro. Well as you may or may not know I lost my brother Luis last year on April 11, and Cesar this year Oct. 1st. So I have been sadden but working on full force. I'm praying to release an album by the end of the year if God Willing, but it will be in memory of Luis and Cesar. It will be call "Angels in the sky" and there's a song call "forever"which is dedicated to them, and to any one who lost someone and lost some one in the WTC. Is a real sweet and very sincere song produce by Flip Zide's own Nathan. So be on the look out when I post it.


As for Rob I'm not critizing nor dissing George Lamond nor his fans. I know George and he is mad cool as well as for Keyel and Tybless. The comparing was an example not digrating. Like I said music is music regardless how you look at it and we all got to move on and leave things the way they are and if nobody can see that is a whole world thats full of styles then your not a true fan. I'm not picking sides and i'm not picking on music. I'm being very realistic with how hard we all work and pay so much to get everybody happy and we always have someone to hurt us. Nuff said God bless and wish everybody the best in what ya do 😎
 
Well I still think Star is an a$$wipe, but I guess he's an a$$wire with a good ear. Let's not forget also when K7 went on his own with the swing kids, hot 97 played his stuff all the time.
