To Toni and people who think like her.

A singer sings, and has every right to do what God intended for him to do.
He's running back to the vocal booth and putting it down. He's not running back to you or anything else he's just singing. I'm not here to try to say what this album is or what it is not, excpet that it's great music. I already have people on this thread who are saying that there are two songs that are FS. Then I have some people who think that there are four FS songs.
It all depends on the individuals ear, and his or her taste in music. What's in a category? It's all music that TKA is doing.

Toni you don't apply, your a freestyle fan first, not a TKA fan. Someday in the very near future you will understand what that is. The same passion you have for George Lamond at whatever he attempts to record, makes you a GL fan first, freestyle fan second. That's all fine, just as we have people who will support TKA at whatever TKA decides to do, TKA fans. We are not going to do a tours worth of Freestyle Factory shows (which was really off the rocker by the way). We will go on the Road as TKA, and much to your unhappiness we will carry the banner of the "Kings Of Freestyle" "Forever"...Deal with it!

This way 'YOUR' music will grow because we are growing. Check the' VIBE' baby it's all good. You can stay here and hate, but the truth be told Toni you weren't there when TKA put it down as one of the inventors of this shit back in 1985. So as inventors they reserve the right to change up the formula. You can consider it what you want, but you're too young to really understand what ' YOUR' music is, what it really was, and what goes into making these songs. So take your money and go buy another poster of an artist you really like, and hold your breath and wait and see if they make an album commited to one sound...It aint gonna happen!

Every genre has it's variations. Respect real music for what it is.....Universal, ground breaking, trend setting ,and constantly changing. If you can't keep up, you will be stuck posting about 1986 for the rest of your lives, and I think that's so very sad.

coming very soon, to pacify the people who feel that TKA shouldn't be here....www.tkaforever.com..

Toni isn't a hater...just speaking her mind. Ya never answered the bubble gum thing 🙄 ...Some fans get upset when the artist disses the music. They have every right. I guess (Kayel) hating on the music itself is ok, huh?? DOUBLE STANDERDS are not cool.

MAYBE I'M NOT FEELING YOU TONI..BUT I DO FEEL TKA AND ALL THE ARTISTS FROM THE PAST THAT COME OUT WITH SOMETHING NEW, REAL AND REFRESHING.

IT WAS ME WHO ASKED "WHO CAME UP WITH THE TERM FREESTYLE?"

I WON'T BASH MIC MAC I JUST SIMPLY STATED THAT THERE WERE ARTISTS AT THAT TIME THAT COULD NOT SING..JUST LIKE TODAY WE HAVE ARTISTS THAT CAN'T SING...NOTHING PERSONAL.

TYBLESS..THANKS FOR PUTTING IT DOWN AS REAL AS POSSIBLE I COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT ALL BETTER MYSELF.

tka fan forever----LONG LIVE THE KINGS!!!

LOL I GUESS HE IS NOT HERE TODAY OR THINKING OF ANOTHER WAY TO BUST OUR CHOPS.

well, i personally am looking forward to getting this new TKA cd. i think there's been too much hype about it though. too much talk, just put it out. i think it will be good. just because they can sing. the beats may be different but as long as the voice is still good, its kewl.

i dont know how some of u guys felt about Lisette's "Imagination" cd but i liked it. though there were only 2 freestyle cuts on there (which at first i was disappointed by) it was a really hot cd in my opinion. i think she was trying to put the focus on her voice rather than ellaborate production and beats. i think u gotta respect an artist who has enough confidence and will take a chance and do that too. and i think she did a good job with that. i think this TKA album maybe the same kind of situation.

i think they gotta a lot to prove with this one, so it better be hot!

we'll see...

tybless you need to chill...this isnt new news to you on how i felt about tka...i say it all the time...i was just letting some people know why i didnt support it....and speaking about the change of genres...so what....please explain to us the comments in the newpaper also some of the anti freestyle comments made by him on this site!!!!

and stop bringing george lamond into this...it has nothing to do with the other...its about respect once again...how could u make such a long post and not even comment about anything i said ty??? did u really read it??? or did u just see hate and respond accordingly????

and i understand the people that are tka fans, its all good, just like i am an all george lamond fan!!!!!

the reasons i am "hating" are never addressed...you people just say i dont want tka to switch genres, it has nothing to do with that, it has to do with the way freestyle is being treated...i support noel in his switch, lamond in his, johnny o in his upcoming...because till this point they have all had respect for the style...but in the past for the forementioned reasons i feel tka didnt...oh well thats how i feel as a freestyle fan....NOW REPLY TO THAT!!!!!

and you know i loves ya ty!!!!! 😀

RESPECT FOR THE STYLE???? DON'T U EVER THINK THAT STYLES CHANGE...TIMES CHANGE....PEOPLE CHANGE...MOVE ALONG WITH THE TIMES...IT'S NICE TO REMEMBER THE MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY ALONG WITH YESTERYEAR MUSIC BUT I BELEIVE IT'S TIME FOR NEW MUSIC AND NEW MEMORIES.

its not the changing of genres that is the disrespect!!!! do you get it??? DO YOU??? its the going to the newspapers and coming out and talking bad about the style, down playing it!!!!
its coming here and saying the same thing in not so many words!!!! thats where the disrespect is at!!!! now do u understand....ITS NOT THE SWITCHING OF GENRES...NOW THAT I HAVE IT OUT FOR YOU WORD FOR WORD DO U GUYS UNDERSTAND!!!!!

or is that the only argument you have and i am right????? tell me cause i need to know

It's easy for people to avoid the issue...to just keep going around it. You know they can't address the negative comments made by you know who....

What should you care about the whole tabloid thing? How is this going to affect you? Did we catch Bin Laden by being so "!" crucial? You're either a fan or you arent. Which one is it? If not, get out before you make your own shit stink. Which reminds me, dont you have a child of whom you need to change diapers for?

TY, two very good points man not just for Toni but for everyone to know............

"Every genre has it's variations. Respect real music for what it is.....Universal, ground breaking, trend setting ,and constantly changing. If you can't keep up, you will be stuck posting about 1986 for the rest of your lives, and I think that's so very sad. "

Instead of focusing on Ty reading your posts you should really pay attn to his. Otherwise, there is no reasoning with you. All of a sudden your flipping shit around and bringing in different topics that shouldve been discussed in the beginning when you first came off the way you did if you feel so strongly about it. I just cant see your side.

Change is good for music.

Wow. Some really good points have been voiced here and I as a producer that produced several freestyle songs of my own back in the early 90’s and never made it on the scene can appreciate some of the comments made here today.

In my opinion, Freestyle was and still remains in it’s own genre. I think it is a form of Dance music that has been labeled to identify the ethnic background it represents. Till this day I write, arrange and produce. I consider some of my works to be Freestyle although it sounds much like Dance. Times are changing and we need to keep up with the times by changing the sound and rhythm of new music. TKA did just that and I hope that other Freestyle artists make the same move.

Not everyone accepts change. Not everyone will like the new sounds or new artists trying to make the scene but the bottom line is, we’re going to keep on moving ahead and try to give the people what they want. Going backwards is not the answer. TKA took two steps forward just like many others and I hope that all of our favorite artists keep moving forward.

Tabloids..

To Rob I recieved your PM, do me a favor, don't waste your time and don't waste mine, you ain't on my level. If you were, you wouldn't be changing your name just to make your point, whoever you are.

Toni you are just trying to sling mud. We went over that newspaper article that circulated in oh??1993? Like 50 times. We even squashed all that. For you to bring that up now within a week of this release is almost like a character assasination attempt. Yet again on your part. You must be bored. It's not like he said anything about any of you as people, the man expressed his discontent for something that at the time, left a bad taste in his mouth for reasons you will never quite understand. Period, the end. Criticism is welcome. I look forward to your opinions, but again TONI you always gotta go diggin for something on a personal level that's not there, not for you anyway. I didn't bring any other artist into this conversation, you did. Re-read what you wrote, I just elaborated in a truthful manner, and exposed your contradictions and double standards for artist you like on a personal level outside of the music they do.....Your slip is showing, and it's not the first time. You should know better by now.

Like Jay Z said, To all you other haters taking shots at Jigga (TKA)....I only have three words.........

Oh for Pete's sake!

"FREESTYLE CLUB" - Freestyle Music AND ARTISTS labeled FREESTYLE.

Ok - let's stop the labeling - did you guys like TKA because they were TKA or because they did "freestyle" music? If you only liked them because they did freestyle music then you're not much of a fan anyway - you're just into freestyle.

If you have always LIKED the artist, you will like what they put out, as long as it's good stuff, even if it's not necessarily FREESTYLE!

Damn, some of you people annoy me! and I say that with the utmost LOVE

😀

BRING ON THE NEW TKA FOREVER MUSIC!!!!! Music speaks for itself. I'm looking forward to hearing it. Whatever direction it takes, if it's the bomb, peeps will follow and buy it.

I'll never understand why these threads always get so wack. Rob, Toni and Anthony can have differing opinions but PERSONAL ATTACKS ARE NOT NECESSARY.

Hearing that "the man had reasons for discontent over the freestyle scene back then..." makes sense but maybe acknowledges his roots now would put that issue to bed once and for all? but............"Get out before you make your own S#$t stink (peeps are no longer here for saying less) but bring an innocent child into this, anyone's child is sooooooo nasty! and wrong.

FOREVER, bring it on November 6th and all said with "love."

I PERSONALLY ENJOY READING THESE THREADS BECAUSE IT SHOWS WHERE PEOPLE'S HEART IS...I'VE LOVED TKA FROM THE BEGINNING AND I WILL LOVE THEM TILL THE END ....PUT THE PLANET ROCK SAMPLE TO REST ALREADY!

I AGREE WITH TYBLESS AND SY...LET'S KEEP MOVING FORWARD PEOPLE.

SEE YOU GUYS ON THE 6TH!!!
