I don't know exactly how you get it, but a very good friend of mine is a freestyle dj for a station in NY and record comapnies and such send him stuff. And since this is Johnny O were talking about, he knows he's going to have to get me an advance copy.....LOL

I want to support freestyle too but come on don't you guys think that re-releasing an old song that you already had success with makes no sense. To me that's an insult to his fans who have been waiting for NEW material from him. I know I am going to make sure that HMV has it, I will definately tell my supervisor to have it in stock. I just don't think I will be one to get it though. Like I said in my previous post I wish him a lot of success with his career, Just hopefully Johnny with your next single release a "new" song ok. 😛 😉

P.S. If you guys want to get upset it's ok but I am posting my opinion and that's what these posts are for anyway, ok Peace

i am very glad you posted your opinion I ivite everyone to post their opinions in a intellegent matter. Your opinion is very well taken I just dont agree. But what I do think we can agree on is that we want success for johnny's material and other freestyle artists releasing new material....

Many groups do it all the time and have "GREAT SUCCESS"! Look at RUN-DMC with "WALK THIS WAY", Nikki French with "TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART" and the latest remake by Eyra Gail With "Heaven". i think "THEY" are laughing all the way to the bank! And if anyone can remake a song and make is sound "off the meat hook", it's JOHNNY O!
 
Thank you all for respecting my opinion and like I said this is just the way I feel about it. Also to respond to Kenny Guido's post: I mean yeah Run DMC and Eyra Gail and Niki French all did have success with cover songs yet Johnny is not covering anyone elses song but his OWN which is a FREESTYLE classic, which to me doesn't make any SENSE at all. I really would love freestyle to ressurect in mainstream pop culture yet again. I want all artists to be successful with this incredible genre of music, but come on guys don't you think that this strategy is weak and is just taking the genre of music back a step instead of forward. I want freestyle to thrive and prosper into the next generation of our society. We have to push our artists to come up with FRESH and INOVATIVE new sounds that will push freestyle beyond the stereotype that it has been locked into. Like I said I don't wish Johnny O or any other freestyle artists who want to cover there songs any ill will but I just think that they can really make an impact if they just took some time to really find what the next step in the evolution of Freestyle will be, the music needs to move forward not backwards.

Like I said before I understand why you guys feel that way....

But remember a couple of things...1. This single was suppose to only be released in Europe. and 2. Johnny O didnt have control of what single was going to be released...

Also remember that sometimes we need to represent and show support to all the artists no matter what in order to bring back our kind of music so it can always be around...

So when he had no control he is only like a ball in a game...of the Recording Company.
They dont care then about their artist, just put money in their bags.
And like FreestylerinNY said, that he have to come back with only new Material and not the old overplayed stuff......thats right then...looking forward not back in time.

Or do you like it when older Freestyle Artists like Trinere or Debbie Deb come back with remakes (2002 Remix of Lookout Weekend ??? or When i hear Music))

No you are misunderstanding what is I am saying. Your point is well taken. But Johnny does have a new material on the album. I believe that they (record company) wanted to make sure they get some volume going behimd him before the new material. I can tell you this from the people who I have seen in the concerts while johnny was performing his new material they loved it. The record company asked us all to vote on what we (the fans) wanted to hear. I have said it once and I will say it again. There is alot of politics behind the scenes that we most dont know or even less understand.

I knew that there is new material on the CD.....and it might be good.
and i knew that the company wanted us to vote on what we wanted to hear......but i think nobody wanted that the made a another remake of the Fantasy Girl song......
