Here in Germany you can hear a lot of Remakes and the people get hyped about it....one of the newer remakes what sounded like Freestyle is the Sunglasses at night song.......Personally i dont like most of the Remakes....

I had contact with a Label and a producer in Canada back in the days and i send him some critics and since this time he dont get in touch with me again...he was angry and sended me a bad E-Mail back and said i am mentally disorderd..When someone put out crap stuff than the person must handle some critics, too not only putting the money in his Bags......

What i want o know is why everyone always comes here when they have a problem to air out or some type of grievance? Why make CF the battle grounds? Honestly, it;s giving everyone a bad name when this happens.

Kenny, everyone is welcome to come here and
discuss Anything (freestyle).
They come here when they have a problem because
this is where everyone is. This is where peeps
can make the biggest impact. This is why
this site is here.

If there is something that nasty & insulting -it is
gone - You know that. People are just discussing here.
I dont see anything wrong with that.

You may be a little upset because you are a
huge fan. I am also a huge fan.
Johnny O Wants and should see All Opinions.
ZYX records - Very Respected & Appreciated
- Wants & should see All Opinions.

Peeps just keep things respecful and
Very Importantly

TYPE AS IF YOU WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE PERSON / ORGANIZATION

Be REAL

Peter,

I´m sorry. I can´t follow your posts...

First you say that freestyle in Germany is almost dead.
Now, still the same topic but another statement: People get hyped about the remakes over here...???

About this producer... I remember that you critisized this person. Don´t tell me that you did it in a objective way!
You attacked this person, not the records... You know that it´s true! These posts are still on the board...

That´s all I have to say...

@ Say,

you know nothing at all, cause the real conversation between him and me was thru e-Mail and not on the board. And a lot of other people knew that the guy cant handle critics and the critic was objective.
That what you say now is like saying always Yes and everything is good and OK.

And i never said, that Freestyle is dead in Germany it´s really quiet....and about the Remakes.....this is another story....I just mean, that a lot of people like the remakes....and for me it is like a pain in the ass.....also some German Freestyle, too....remake of Spring Love from Apollo for example.....

Again, that is my personal opinion....

today i heard the song Like a prayer 2002 from the Group Limelight.....it sounds sooooo awfull and i dont know why they get a Record deal with such a garbage song......(It is not Freestyle but it is a remake of a song.....)

I put them up on a celebrity level. Whats wrong with that? I pay my good money to see them an but thier music. Are you saying that you are equal to them? Are you going on tour selling records and doing benefit concerts? Lemme know, Rhoq.....I'll be your first "FAN".🙄

I can't believe, I missed this yesterday...Kenny, There is nobody in this world that is better than anyone else. A famous celebrity or not, everyone is equal...

Am I going on tour - Nope...At least not until the PFC finally releases their first single...(Yes, the dream is slowly but surely becoming a reality). And we (the PFC) would have no problem doing a benefit concert as we may be some of the very few people who are in Freestyle for the love of the music and not to see royalties and get paid, because we already know that there is very little money (if any at all) to made if you are a Freestyle artist.

Kenny, we both know it, you are already one of my fans!!! LOL

I have to disagree with you. What is an artist? Are they not a celebrity if they are known through out the world? Why not treat them as "Celebrity". I think the word "GOD" is an over statement..and to each it's own. I SAY, GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.

These artists are celebrities only within the realm of the Freestyle world. I would say only 5-10% of Freestyle artists are known around the world (I mean beyond the US, Canada and spanish speaking nations)...

I know everyone is "supposed" to be the same, no man is better than the next. In God's eyes, everyone was created equal. but, it comes to celebrities, we tend to look up to them. it's a fact. why do you think there are movies, tv shows, commercials, ads and what ever you think of containing someone famous? alot of people look up to the celebrities and "do" what they "do". (IE: britney spears says "drink pepsi", so many of her fans that look up to her will.) Its all common knowledge. alot of us older people know the game. if i see an idol of meaning eating McDonalds, I'm not going to go out and get some, but someone that is younger than me "will".

Kenny I resepct your opinion, but that is exactly what is wrong with our society. A celebrity is just another person. Once you treat them like they are better, that is when they begin to believe that they are better. A celebrity may be better off financially than alot of people, but I'll be damned if anyone on TV, radio, movies, etc. is better than you or I...

"If I wasn't a Celebrity..."

There are Dance Radio guys out there that play Freestyle music, that have no clue that some of Freestyle's top rung (TKA, Lil' Suzy, Collage, Safire, and Noel)all have new material out right now.

The Rhoq says:
"These artists are celebrities only within the realm of the Freestyle world. I would say only 5-10% of Freestyle artists are known around the world (I mean beyond the US, Canada and spanish speaking nations)..."

Some Freestyle artists, excluding our Royal Court are lucky if their own Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends know they are a Freestyle performer and have a song out.

These people are Bario Superstars in Camden NJ, Hartford CT, Boogie Down Bronx, Springfield Mass, the Bay Area in Cali, and spots in Texas. If they are lucky, and I mean lucky, some have gotten played in Toronto, Canada.

The best example would be when Denine and Stefanie Bennett along with Adam Marano & Anthony Montleone as Collage would tour the country. Collage's song "I'll Be Loving You" was Top 40 song and getting major radio airplay, in some major radio markets. Here in Philly since they weren't getting airplay at first, they were just average Joes.

Imagine that- Your song gets played in between Janet and Madonna in half the country and in another part people have no clue who you are.

If Freestyle artists are like Celebrities, they are not on a Britney or *NSync level.

Freestyle artists are like high school sports stars, and like some high school sports stars, some eventually get to go pro. Some have a natural gift, and others have to work really, really, really hard at it.

No wonder its so tough to be a Freesyle Artist........

Help me understand something guys. What is so wrong with a Freestyle Artist trying to make some good money? This is really funny to me because in Canada our prime minister makes less money then our hockey players and yet in some 3rd world countries professional national team football (soccer) players have to drive a taxi for a living. Would we rather our artists work for little or no money and deliver pizza on the side for a living, which allows them less time to spend on music ???(Nothing wrong with delivering pizza).

Another thing that I don't agree with is how one may choose to look at their favorite artists. I.e. I always call Johnny O "The God of Freestyle". Of course that does not mean I really think he is God himself, or everyone must think the same about him. I have met Johnny O and what impressed me even more then his music was his down to earth personality and polite manners. It is up to the individual artist to keep things in check and stay with reality, meaning understand that at the end of the day they too are human beings equal to everybody else. In fact it means a lot more for someone to have it all and yet manage to still be human and have compassion. Prime example of such celebrities would be Angelina Jolie who immediately after Sep.11 donated one million dollars of her money to the children of Afghanistan in order to ease their devastation.

I agree with you all that everyone is equal, but in the same time in my opinion if a person (i.e. a singer) has the ability to touch so many people he/she is a very special person and deserves every dollar they make, weather or not they are popular just in U.S. or 170 countries in the world. One thing that I do agree and not too impressed by is the quality of songs which don't seem to improve as time goes by.

Think about this.

In the long run...does it really matter if..
1. We buy the record?
2. Burn a copy from a friend
3. Buy a remake?
4. Consider them "GOD(s)"?
5. Make comments here like these?

In a nutshell....NO, THEY ARE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.

All I know is THANK GOD FOR GIVING CONGRESS THE IDEA TO WRITE THE FIRST AMENDMENT. FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!!

GOOD NITE AND HAPPY TRAILS 2-YALL

If thats the case then I say good for them!!!

Listen buddy I don't know about you but music is a big part of my life. Along with sex & food, music is one of life's most pleasurable things which at approximately $20.00 a CD its very cheap way of enjoying yourself weather you are happy, sad, with a broken heart or just moving some wind at 100 miles p/h in your car. Then if so many people get so much pleasure form one persons voice and style of singing, let him/her run all the way to the bank. I say good for them, I hope they enjoy it, because they have improved quality of life for so many people. If money is what encourages them and makes them tick, LET IT. But I can assure you that every successful person draws from their passion for the field they are in, even if the end game is money.:johnnyo

There are only about ten people in Freestyle that could even chuckle on the way to the bank. I could think of two, maybe three who might laugh on the way.

Ask the old partners in Tazmania Records who laughs their way to the bank. One partner now sells cars, another works at a hospital, while another has opened a pizza shop. None of them are in the music business anymore. Because they couldnt afford to provide for their families by staying in it.
