lol Thanks guys for correcting me, After KTU cut the segment I didnt listen for a while because it pissed me off as for the stations mentioned in Miami,, Coolz. I was talking about NY stations.
Kenny.. Thanks for the correction although I didnt realize it was constant radio time.
Loveme69 So did you go have that talk yet with your boss???

Don't blame the artists. It's their records labels responsibility to put them on the map. That's why they have a promotions department. It all relies on who you have running the operation for you.

Be Realistic Now !!!!

A freestyle artist could promote himself/herself until they are blue in the face. But reality sets in. There is just at this present time no big market for a freestyle artist to break through and become big. Times have changed and so has the industry as a whole. Lets stop kidding ourselves. George Lamond, Brenda K. Starr, Marc Anthony, etc. have all crossed over to the Latin market where there is a big demand for latino artists. Years ago when Marc Anthony used to sing background on tons and tons of freestyle records who would ever have thought that he would be a superstar in the Latin music industry like he is now. Especially having his own concerts sell out all over the world. It's just a sign of the times. Grant it we do have good freestyle artists and we know who they are; but if they continue to wait for their big break in the freestyle market there are going to be a hell of a lot of dissappointed artists.

i never heard the new Material from Johnny O on our Local Radiostations and on the Stations Nationwide.
So how can the stuff being that great in Germany ??? I dont see or heard something about Promotion the Material over here....
Also when Johnny wrote about the E-Mail from the 15 Year old boy that he is the greatest Fan from him....i dont know what i can say about this....??? Many of us are older and heard a lot of Freestyle Music in the Past....the New Generation take everything for good what came out and grab everything......
Again, this is nothing against Johnny personally......but i dont know where he get the Facts about his stuff ???
i also talked to other friends in other citys and none of them heard his stuff on Air.......

"IF I HAD THE CHANCE" by Cynthia was a great song but I have never heard it outside of when I pulled out my 12" single and played it!

it got major radio play in new york on KTU for quite a long time.

Until someone else proves me wrong with hard cold facts
I am going on record, and I am making the statement that Johnny O's full length album is not out in America.

If you have bought it in stores, and not as import- tell me.
If you have seen it in stores, and not as an import - tell me.

hope youve been reading, Jason. There are reports of people finding the album. 🙂

For the record, I was able to get Johnny's single and album with relatively no problem. Only problem was when I first went to get it, it was sold out. But the following week it was in.

And I got it at a mall in Jersey City, NJ in case anyone wanted the location or is in the north Jersey area.

There is only one station (KTU)that Plays Freestyle regularly...

You forgot about 106.7 JAMZ KCJZ in San Antonio, they have freestyle on regular rotation during regular hours, on the fri and sat mix shows and a 3 hour sunday night freestyle show.

I'm curious

"I think freestyle singers don't want to become big.because everytime they a have a hit they never promote it right."

How would you go about solving this problem or better yet who are you helping out that is a FreeStyle artist?

You seem to "know what you are talking about" & seem to have all the answers, right!?

Instead of bashing FreeStyle artists why don't you try helping them since you work in the marketing Dept. at Mushroom..(Who, What, Where?)
I'm sure you can convince a couple of BigWigs over there with your overwhelming expertise on what's hot in Music today...

Every generation from the first Uga Buga! concert (20,000 B.C.?) til today has danced to the tune of a different drum...This is how music recycles itself...Don't waste your time trying to be smarter than everyone else because you'll end up saying stupid things...

For those who don't know me, I have, do & always will love Freestyle to the end. I fully support the thoughts of the true Freestyle Artists & fans but feel sorrow for "the know it all, niave, retarded wannabes" that infect this fabulous site (Yeah you know who you are).

There are a lot of Posts that I am tempted to comment on but don't.
I had to say something here because "loveme69" crossed the line....
