giving a shout to all my clubfreestyle headz!
WADDUP!!!!

I'm excited to let you all know that my partner and i are working on an independent documentary on Freestyle! i want to capture the passion of this genre of music and let the world know that there is still a large and loyal following for it. we plan on interviewing everyone who was and is a big part of freestyle history. everyone from promoters, dj's, producers, fans, and every artist that has ever touched you in freestyle will be interviewd, there will be a lot of suprises!(we are even going to try to get an interview with the lovely India!)

we officially start working on this project next year(lookout for it in late 2002) but we already got some great footage and interviews. now you the clubfreestylers let me know who you would love to see interviewd for this project. post up your answers.

If any of you guys would like to contribute to this project, hit me back at LATINTEK3000@aol.com. we are looking for old footage of live shows from devils nest, club 1018, hearthrobs, la mour east, palladium, radio shows,etc.... any old pics would be great also! you will also get mad props and credit for your help in this film. we have some great people behind this that want to help, and i want to thank you for it! this is going to be something really great. mad luv to all my peeps out there

good luck with the project bboy! i think it would be great to get a history of freestyle. i don't think that even the hardcore fans know did the extent of what freestyle and it's artist accomplished!

i think this may even be a first, you always see documentarys on the birth of rap, disco etc.... but never freestyle.

I think I may have the business card of a friend who has a video tape company and he may provide you w/some clips....

I know he used to video tape the events at Casanovas in HIALEAH,,,back in the 80' & 90's.

I bumped into him about a month back in Alcazaba and he gave me his bus card again....let me know.

YOU NEED TO TRY TO INTERVIEW MARC ANTHONY. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. AND ALSO STEVIE B, BUT I WOULD THINK YOU PROBABLY ALREADY HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH HIM.

I would like to see interviews with the people behind the music:
Producers like Chris Barbosa, JJ Flores, Nelson Cruz, Latin Rascals, Carlos Berrios, Willie Valentin, Charlie Babie, Tony Garcia, Adam Marano, Tommy Uzzo, John Bastianelli.

Also backgroundsingers like Jimi Tunell, Tim Lawless and Debbie Cole. It would be interesting to hear what they would have to say about Freestyle and the stars.

Artists I would like to see interviews with:

George LaMond
Johnny O
Trinere
Safire
Reinaldo
Marc Anthony
Expose

And some newschoolartists like: Freddy Lopez, people from Artistik.

It would be cool if you had a little "Edit" section in the documentary, where the greatest editguys talk about the secrets behind their skills for editing, Omar Santana, Carlos Berrios, Latin Rascals, Bladerunners and so on.

this is going to be something really special for the fans. Alex i am planning to interview a lot of those peeps you mentioned. as a matter of fact i'll be flying down to miami next month to interview some of the key players in the miami freestyle scene.

plus maybe an interview with Jack g ??? of course you gotta be in it Jack, no doubt! clubfreestyle will be representin' big in our project! lots of freestylers up in here will be part of it.

and Mark you know im going to interview her real soon, no doubt about it baby lol.....

this project will hopefully be finish next year, we are putting a lot of work into this, even planning on entering it in film festivals.
so lookout for it in late 2002. i feel in my heart that you guys are going to really love this.

BBOY3000 I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MY FREESTYLE EXPERIENCES, GOING TO SEE A LOT OF SHOWS BACK IN THE DAY AT CLUB ESCAPES OUT IN LONG ISLAND.
 
i definitely want to capture the clubfreestyle fans in this project. i already have a lot of great footage of fAns but i want the clubfreestylers to be included since you all are my family. maybe i can film you at the next clubfreestyle event or better yet you guys could send me a video of yourself speaking about your past and present freestyle experiences, also DJ'ing the freestyle jamz, showing off your whole freestyle collection of 12's or cds, speaking about what this music means to you,etc... whatever you guys want....
let me know what you think about this ...

I hope that the documentary will also the international aspect and exposure of freestyle: its sounds and artists beyond the familiar, classic sound known in the US; specifically: Canada, Europe, Brazil.

Also, a suggestion would be to cover the international sound appelations of freestyle (freestyle, breakbeat, electro, 2 step, old school, west coast, miami beat, funky melody,...etc.

Good Luck with the project; freestyle needs it!

How did I know that it would be you to be behind such an incredible project? I knew that your creative mind would help display your skill. Best of luck with the project......I definitely look forward to seeing this get somewhere. F-Style is destined to make its comeback!
 
bassbump we will be covering all aspects of Freestyle from the old school miami sound to the west coast and even canadian style of freestyle....we are really going to work hard on this project, lookout for it late next year.........
