D-day took place 60 years ago today.

I would just like to take time to salute those brave individuals that took part in the D-day invasion. Allied forces composed of American, British, and Canadian servicemen hit the beaches of Normandy starting the beginning of the end for Hitler's plans of taking over most of the world.

Many of those men are no longer with us and those that are still alive I give all the props to them. They have my respect.

Nice post Harry. My friend Tina's dad was in the Navy during WW2, and I heard a few stories before he died a few years ago.

Definitly some brave people who fought for us back then!

I saw some of the rememberances that went on around the world this past weekend...it's sad when you think about it because all most of us can do is think about things like this because we've never experienced it first hand because of days like D-Day and those that took part in it and I'm thankful for that

My Fathers Dad fought on D-Day. My great Uncle worked with The Tuskegee Airmen.

I thank all you guys who fought for the nation we have. Without those guys, The US or the world would not be the same.

Excellent post Harry!!! You know what, this is probably the best post on this whole web site. I cant believe that there are only 4 responses to your post but 675 posts about what the phuk to wear to the Madonna concert. Without those brave kids that stormed the beaches at Normandy, you jackasses wouldn't have the freedom that you have to listen to Freestyle or post on a public website. Why doesnt any body else here get it??? You would all be speaking German right now......so show a little bit more respect.
