im from toronto and i recall back in 88 we always used to listen this radio station from buffalo (i think 98.5) cuz they always were dropping freestyle on theyre live to air show. anyhoo, they used to always play this version of the cover girls inside outside that used to have some edits in it, and im wondering where this version comes from...a dj remix service perhaps.

try to hear/make sense of this...
got me so confused i just can take it
anymooooooooooooooooooo-uh-oh-u-oh-u-ooore
you got me.....

anyone?

alot of radio stations back in the day used to have different remixes of songs that they used to play as a way to make already overplayed songs sound new and fresh....sometimes they were remix service versions (ie- ultimix or disconet versions) or in other cases, were done special for just the radio station. here in ny- we had "hhhhhhhhhhhot mix" versions of songs on Hot 97...I still have Janet Jacksons "Pleasure Principle" with sickkkk edits as well as Samantha Fox "Naughty Girls Need Love Too" remix done by Freddy Bastone..Silent Morning remix done by Louie Vega & The Latin Rascals....I still got all of 'em!

Speakin' about Hot 97, I got a Silent Morning mix way back from Hot 103 b4 turning into 97, u would hear: Hot hot hot hot ha ha ha hot 103, write-it-down, hot 103! hot mix!" I use to like hearing that when u know that good mix was coming on. Wish I had more of 'em....Whattup James.

I Had That Version Of Silent Morning With The Mandolay Beats On A Reel To Reel, Along With A Lot Of Other Latin Rascals Material, But The Reel Got Damaged, It Was All The Rare Things Lil Louie Used To Play, As Well As Roman Ricardo..

the dub mix on the 12" is full of edits and stutters that i keep playing to this day!
