it seems a lot of different freestyle songs seem to be top in different cities. i dont know about where all u all are from but in chicago it seemed to me that the top are(or shall i say, were) top...

UUUUMMMM..Freestyle still lives in Chicago..they might not play as much anymore but they are getting better..WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO BRING MORE FREESTYLE TO AIR WAVES IS TO CALL RADIO AND REQUEST IT...B96 is doing there part by bringing in Freestyle arists and playing flashbacks here and there..and I know MR.Harv Roman supports it in his show!!! and also go out and support our freestyle arists when they come to town which lately it's been once or twice or more a month...
But I agree with everyone else those are THE HITS!!!

We Support In In Many Ways But At Times When Freestyle Artists Do Come To Chicago It A High Price To Pay For The Show,$, Unless Its At A Club/plus Radio Dont Have To Play It For You To Hear It-who Knows How Many Mix Cd's Of Freestyle Chicago D.j.'s Have Made And Still Are Making/ The Best Way To Support It Is By Understanding And Knowing What The Songs Are Saying And Loving The Style Of Music..
But I Say The Most Popular Freestyle Song For A Girl Here In Chicago Has To Be Cynthia-"change On Me" Ask Any Girl About This Song And They Can Practically Sing You The Whole Song Or At Least Hum It..... For Guys I Say The Best Song Is L.a.w.-"remember The Times".
 
how could u omit "BOY I'VE BEEN TOLD" by SAFIRE!??? This song was played on every major dance/top 40 station in Chicago by in 88 -

Alot of my family lives in Chicago and Illinois in general and I used to go there all the time. I would look forward to going just to hear B96. I remember hearing freestyle all the time.. I LOVED IT!!!

I'll add to the list Spanish Fly 'Treasure of My Heart'.....

B96 :yoplease went totally ghetto. all they play is rap now.
 
Remembering so many years later in 2021, and yes. LAW/Love and Wisdom belongs on any list of prominent Chicago Freestyle songs. Shana and Sandi Castillo also come to mind right now...
