I walk into the masters chambers, he sits there on a throne like chair waiting. Waiting for an answer to a question we don't want to ask. The time is at hand where we will have to make a choice.

Rocker: Master.

Lord Sarus: Rise my son.

Rocker: The reports are in, we are taking heavy losses. Our kind are migrating to Europe. We have had a few come here, which I don't agree that it is safe. It will only be a matter of time before and attack.

Lord Sarus: We have pulled back countless times. Retreat after retreat after retreat. We have sent our kind spinning into hiding, went back to the dark ages of the hunters.

Rocker: We have word that the meetings with the world leaders are going well. We have most if the European nations siding with us.

Lord Sarus: It's no surprise.More than half of our population resides in Europe.

Rocker: I saw some information 8th had pulled from the cd files and am taking Angela to investigate.

Lord Sarus: What of your human friend?

Rocker: She is well.

Lord Sarus: You worry for her.

Rocker: I do. The world considers her dead. Her family have been notified she was dead and they even arranged a burial. We saw the obituary and she broke down. They will kill her if she arises into the public eye.

Lord Sarus: She can die here as well.

Rocker: Maybe.

Lord Sarus: There is so much out there for her that has been closed. What are you willing to do to open new doors?

Rocker: (sighs) I don't know.


As I leave the room, Mary awakes with Angela in the room.

Angela: You're awake. It's still dark.

Mary: Yes. I wasn't sleeping well.

Angela: To the world, you are dead.

Mary: (tearing) Yes. All my family, friends. They all think I'm dead. They even buried me. I'm afraid to reach out, I don't know what to do. What to feel. I'm the living dead.

Angela: (sitting behind her, combing hair) Living death is not easily said. We suffer a great deal.

Mary: I see Diego refers to you as his sister, why? Are you related?

Angela: We are and we are not. You see, Diego made me.

Mary: He turned you into a vampire?

Angela: Yes he did.

Mary: Why? If I may ask?

Angela: It's a long story. He saved my life.

Mary: I wonder what it's like?

Angela: What is what like?

Mary: Being a Vampire.

Angela: (sighs) Being a Vampire. How can I even begin? It's like a dream and a nightmare. One thing is for sure, you never wake up. Waking up is not existing anymore.

As I walk around the coven, I see many of my fellow vampires worried. Many have lived decades past their human life expectancy. They are not ready to die. It's amazing how a vampire can still be afraid of dying.

(Walking through the door)

Lady Jade: Hello Rocker.

Oh my. Out of all the souls I have encountered, the one I was trying to avoid arises. The Vampire Jade, my former partner. I have walked the earth with her for 2 centuries. She was one of the Vampires who helped me to adjust, along with Nyasia. What's even worse, she has not changed. She is still very beautiful.

Rocker: Lady Jade. It's been a long time.

Lady Jade: Yes it has. I was told I would find you here.

Rocker: Word travels fast. What brings you to America.

Lady Jade: I am on the counsel of affairs and relations. We are trying to difuse the situation.

Rocker: You have risen amongst the ranks. A leader of many.

Lady Jade: Our ruling body has been working feverishly to round up the European Union to our cause.

Rocker: I fear you may be too late. We have lost many in this war.

Lady Rocker: I wasn't aware we were at war, Lord Rocker.

Rocker: Lord?

Lady Jade: I have come to give you a throne. You have been chosen to succeed Lord Syris as Overlord.

Rocker: (shocked) I, I wasn't aware.

Lady Jade: You are honored amoungst many.

(walking in)

Lord Sarus: Yes, you are my son.

Rocker: Master, you knew?

Lord Sarus: Yes. I chose not to tell you. Lady Jade had that honor.

Rocker: I don't know what to say. I have no words for this honor being given to me.

Lord Sarus: Be wise my son. Like you always have been.

Lord Sarus makes his exit. Lady Jade sits by a window looking at the moon.

Lady Jade: The moon looks so peaceful. So understanding of our sins.

Rocker: Yes it does. So why?

Lady Jade: Why what?

Rocker: Why you? Why were you chosen to give me the throne and not Lord Sarus.

Lady Jade: I simply asked. I felt it was nessesary to correct any wrongs between us.

Rocker: (sighs) Maybe. This is all too sudden.

Lady Jade: Diego, I came to say I was sorry. I have always been sorry. I have never said otherwise.

Rocker: I understand.

(Walks toward door. Jade flies in front of him, blocking exit)

Lady Jade: WAIT!! Please. Let me speak.

Rocker: Jade. It has been 40 years and not a word from you. 40 years of walking alone without a partner whom I had for centuries. What is it you want to tell me now?

Lady Jade: That I still love you. I am madly in love with you.

As we speak, Mary passes by the door as we speak. She hears my voice and decides to listen.

Lady Jade: I have never stopped loving you. I can't help that Diego. I would never deny my love for you. I will love you for eternity.

Tears run down Marys face. She can't believe she is hearing the voice of a woman whose love for me may be stronger than hers. She can't bare to hear anymore and runs off into one of the corridors. She runs into Nyasia and 8th who have returned from their erotic moment.

Nyasia: Mary! What is wrong? Why are you running? And crying?

Mary: I'm sorry, Jade. I can't say.

Mary runs off again.

Nyasia: I should go and speak with her.

8th: You go do that. I will speak to Rocker.



8th makes his way down the corridor and hears Rockers voice and the voice from a past long forgotten.


8th: Rocker. Brother , Mary was.......

(8th pauses for one moment and sees the face of his past. His blood. His half sister.)

8th: Jade! Jade is that you.

Lady Jade: Antonius.

(Goes and hugs 8th.)

Rocker: 8th? What about Mary?

8th: She was crying about something. Nyasia went to speak with her.

Rocker: My god.

(Rocker runs out after Mary)

Lady Jade: Who is Mary?

8th: His beloved.
