OK as a matter of fact all those donated gifts coming from the people who can't make it that day or live too far away should start sending them now, to a designated location, to assure that the toys are here on time, and the ones who will make it, can bring them in that day. So let's designate a place to where the gifts can be received first of all, and get that out of the way.
 
I suggest things get clarified ASAP so that the artist are aware of exactly what kind of event this is and wheather they are comfortable with it, they will be taking time out of there personal lives to attend and a lot of people are out of town for Xmas and New Years I think the 17th was a great date because it fell right in the middle anf it is going to be a toy drive it gives plenty of time to get the gifts out to the children before Xmas. AS I said it needs to be clarified ASAPartist are comminting themselves without fully knowing what its entailed>

and yes I agree Vic & Fernanda were trying to do something uplifting, it just got complicated with all the misunderstandings. So can we get past it and work this out already, time is closing in.

actually if anyone cannot think of a place, I will volunteer for the arrivals of the gifts. I can take them to the place when the time comes, along with other members who have cars that will be going that day.
 
I'm sorry but, I have to put my 2cents in here.. I think like sexyangel that a night club is in-appropriate I think Jack's Idea is great and I was under the assumption that this was for the 17th which I would definetly make now, the 27th is after christmas day and I probably won't be able to make it.. not that it matters right?,, any how I have spoken with several artist who were aware of the 17th and would most likely have made it now, some agree that a night club scene is not the right way to go about it.. this is a childrens charity and it was suppossed to be for gift giving am I right,, why do people have to pay admission and why is only half of the admission going to charity, who's the charity for the club or the children... come on now... I feel like money is going to be made off of these artist that are doing it for free for the children and the club is going to keep some type of proceed, I work for Club Destination and they recently had a charity held there, With regard to the whole christmas gifts for totts theme it is agreed that charging admission is also in-appropriate it is unacceptable to ask artist to perform for charity charge admission and only give half to the children... I just had to get that off my chest.. if there is still a charity Idea at the college where children can actually come and be able to see there gifts.. I would def be more than happy to participate..Jack let me know if that is still a go ahead.. hey have two nights and whoever finds whichever more suitable will show up..🙂 disclaimer:no offense to anyone!

Is it possible to have the mailing addresses for either event so that toys/canned goods can be collected and shipped?

I can try to do something through my company and raise some toys or even that employee match thing..

Once this is straightened out - please advise..

Sophia thanks, the address is yet to be determined as to where the toys are going to be sent. I am sure once everything is settled jack will post it up.
 
This will be my final post on this

1. I don't care for publicity as most of you know I am not a Freestyle singer.

2. I am not looking for publicity, or glory or credit.
Most of these singer I know personally and I knew they would come forward.

3. Nope I don't kiss ass, that's not one of my better qualities and like I said I don't take sides and I don't have anybody's back but my own.

4. I never said it was an X-mas event and thois is the fourth time I say it. Nor did I mention that children would be there, If you look at the first post it says the fans can make a donation and hang out with the artists!!!! No place was confirmed or date locked down. I am very patient no over anxious, so in conclusion I only want to say, I never intended to offend anyone, piss anybody off and if I look bad then it's on me and for what for trying to do something worth for a just cause and now I'm the bad guy. I'm not putting the blame on anyone but me for trying to do something positive.

Hey Nya, the miscommunication came from the get go. Our intentions were to have a show where adults would come and bring toys so we could then in turn donate the toys to a charitible group. But for some reason, some people are under the impression that the children would be present. How can we bring children to an event if we haven't confirmed the place yet. Also, if children where going to be involved we would have never considered the night club event in the first place. But as I repeat, miscommunication. Let's just do what we can to make a group of small people happy for a day.
 
I AM SENDING AN EMAIL AROUND MY FIRM FOR DONATIONS. BUT I'M GONNA NEED THE LOCATION AND TIME. THEY MAY WANT TO COME AND SEE THE SHOW.
 
Being in this business for a long time in various styles of music, i hae never witnessed confusion like this over a "benefit" for children...either u go and perform/donate toys-money, or u dont!...pain and simple, this is NOT the only Toy drive in NY....whether it Be a Holiday Drive or Not. Please do Not make a positive effort into a negative arguement for the cause of 'sites', it is for the children plain and simple...and the more drives/charity shows there are...the more children will benefit..BUT--if there is negative publicity and ALTERIOR motives behind any efforts...please-dont bother.....just one mans suggestion...that's all... What kind of people bitch and criticize someone for trying to do good? Does everyone in the world need a cf title to plan something? Call the United Way and tell them to shut down lol!! There should be benefits everyday regardless of the time of year! It's the holiday season, anyone in need will not refuse charity because of a date! that's ridiculous! People are going to attend the event they feel is more convenient for them. I feel they are both good ideas and you go to whichever is convenient for you. If you have kids then bring your kids to the cf event (hopefully it will come into being) or if you don't have kids, like myself, but want to do something good while having a good time then go to a bar/club and party your ass off for a good cause! Grow up and help people not get off on who was first or right or who is better. The kids that are supposed to benefit from this are probably more mature!
