You're so right.........great talent, but way too many EGOS to feed for all that money spent.

dood like what does it matter. i can never understand this arguement from yankee haters or yankee fans??

we got 5 world series in the last 10 years. 8 divisions. i dont know how many penants. i forgot how many play off appearances.

i think at this point we gotta take our show on the road to japan or austrilia or cuba

or dominican repbulic.

cuase no one here is good enough to play the yankees anymore lllolll.

its getting booring already.

same thing every year every day. reason why its happening is cuase mariano rivera and joe torre know the league to much.

we need to go to places where no one knows the yankees. japan austrilia cuba dominican repbulic.

the yankees know the palyers to well already. its boooring lloll.

I think any/all in the american/national league can play with the Yanks, and do not fear them any more like they were feared in the 90's. They Yanks of the 2000's can't compete like the Yanks of the 90's. They can make the playoffs all they want, but that's where it ends for them, and that just isn't good enough for georgie porgie. They could win 110 games, and either not make it to the world series or get beat in the world series like they did by the Marlins, and Steinbrener would consider them to have had a horrible season. That's pathetic. Of course every team who makes the playoffs wants to win the World Series, but if they don't...oh well, then they try a little harder next year. Steinbrener takes it personal when they lose, and ends up taking it out on his staff and players, and fires a boat load of them.....LOL

Here's a great Yankee's story...my Papí was a window washer in NYC back in the 40s. Job didn't last long but one day on the job, he had met DiMaggio and the whole team. They all offered my dad their autographs, and of course my dad answered "Why the hell would I want you to sign you name on a piece of paper?" Ouch. But I'll tell you, man rarely missed a Yankee game on tv(he was too sick to actually go, so I've never even had the chance either). When he moved to Virginia, he even paid a few thousand for a Sattelite dish so he could get WPIX. I remember as he laid dying in the hospital, that was his biggest gripe...he couldn't watch his games. For his last Christmas I bought him some Yankee slippers I got in Modell's. Never wore 'em. Just hung then on the wall. Couldn't handle defiling them.
What annoys me are people who are only fans of teams that are winning, or that have won the previous year. A true fan supports their team even when they're down.
Yankees are NY.

GO YANKEES :cheer GO JETER, GO A-ROD, GOOOOOOOO YANKEES!!!!!!! :cheer

Here is some trivia!

What great baseball team starts with a "Y"? oh and ends with a "S"

Here is a hint: "They are a great New York team"

Here is another hint: "Derek Jeter. A-Rod"

Hope it's not too hard. 😀
