I don't get it there's so much hipe about Toronto like it's the center of Canada.I've been to Toronto and it's nothing compared to Montreal and Vancouver.
So why don't any Freestyle artists come here anymore can someone answer me?
 
I can't say for sure about the freestyle scene in Vancouver, but I have been to Montreal and its happening! Toronto is a good market for freestyle to flourish because of the high content of people of mediterranean descent. Personally, you don't have to be Italian or Greek to enjoy freestyle music. I am filipino and have enjoyed freestyle music for a long time now. Even though I got ridiculed by some of my high school classmates for listening to the likes of Stevie B and Noel, I didn't care cause I enjoyed all types of music. But what really got me hooked on freestyle was the thumping beat mixed with the vocals that could make your ears bleed!!! YEAH thats the Ticket!!!

First of all I'd like to say that montreal is mostly English compared it's the rest of the province that's French.And for a while Montreal had a big Freestyle scene but I don't know what hapened.
And my point was Why Toronto because no ofence but what a boring city!!!
 
xipna re.Dont knock Toronto just because Montreal is sleeping.Face it were in Canada and thats how the freestyle scene has evolved.
 
Yo I'm not nocking Toronto I just think most people prefer Montreal accept for people in the Freestyle scene.
I like Toronto but I still think it's borring.
I just wanted to know why none of the artists come here anymore there's still alot of suport for Freestyle here.
Not like before and not as much as Toronto but still>
 
Hey... I'm from T.O... and i just wanna say you shouldnt be dissin it coz honestly... have u seen the scene here? Itz not as bad as ure makin it out to seem... and honestly ive neve heard n e thing about Montreal being so hype.... And Why toronto? Just like the other guy said... theres alot more europeans in T.O then n e where else in Canada... and those r the people who support it... Have u ever seen a French guy pumpin Diamond Girl in his car???

And just so you know Montreal Has more Europeans and I can proove that with statistiks.And I don't think you've ever been here because you seem to think Montreal is mostly french and it's not.And just so you know we do happen to have the best night life in North America.And so you know I have lots of cousins and friends in Toronto and they come here every year because the night life is the best.
And my question was All the stars are always comming to Montreal and they all have houses here so why havn't any Freestyle artists come here?
And if you're going to tell me to stop dissing T.O don't because I'm not dissing it I think T.O is an O.K place.

Oh and Montreal is the most European like city out of europe look it up in a tourist book or something.

Freestyle should be given the opportunity to strive and grow no matter where it is geographically. And no I do not work for the United Nations...Why can't we all just get along??? lol

I can't wait for the warmer weather to hit toronto, so I can cruise along the Danforth....

I live in Toronto and it is a happening place, but in terms of nite life Montreal does have it going on. At 2 am in Toronto all you have to do is cruise the club district downtown to see everyone leaving the clubz to eat or go home. In Montreal, the party is just getting started. As for why freestyle is hitting TO more, my guess would be more media support, Popular Records is out here, Tony Monaco, etc. I'm not sure what Montreal has in terms of freestyle support but I can see why Toronto is a good choice. Plus, Toronto is on the map for Hollywood as well, which means that chances are increased of getting picked up and played in the states. I think we should arrange a sort of freestyle bash that tours the major cities the way raves do. You could have the party start in Montreal and make its way to Toronto and then down to New York and Miami...what do you guyz think??
And chill on the negativity y'all! Freestyle is all about LOVE not knocking each other! The only negativity is between a guy and his girl or a gina and her man!! Listen to the songz peeps!!

Freestyle in Toronto

Majority of compilation , artist, and freestyle concerts and clubs are from TORONTO.... and even a freestyle radio with Tony Monaco Z103..5 FM the freestyle frenzy ,we do have a large population of Greeks, Italians/Spanish and Portuguese that support and listen to freestyle. Forget about Vancouver or montreal, there isn't much freestyle out there. Toronto is the Centre of freestyle,even thou it's not as popular as R&B or Hip hop that's the facts. Montreal and vancouver is a beautiful city to live in and to visit but for freestyle forget it...
 
Franco you're right in one way you guys are the only city in Canada that suports Freestyle and I give you guys props on that but I just might be planning a freestyle event in Montreal It's not for sure but we'll see Montreal is Mostly europeans and alot of them are ex-freestylers and an event like this just might change things.
Anyways I'll keep you guys posted.
