trust me.....im wish i met the artists you had! i used to get so mad because back in the day of HOT 97, the music store, HMV on 86TH & LEX & HOT 97 used to do record signings ever friday. I used to live diagonally right across the street and i could never get there in time to meet them!!!
 
I met Shana at the Swap Shop in Ft.Lauderdale. She had just performed "I want you" and headed back stage. I was with a friend when we were heading to our car when we saw her. I was like, Whoa! She said hi and chilled with us for a bit. She was really sweet!
 
I remember when a SHANA perormed at ESCAPES in 1990. all the guys were in love!! i can still remember when the guys were saying she was so hot (even though she was just "16!")
 
The first freestyle artist I ever met was NYASIA at Backdrafts about 2 years ago...It was the same night FASCINATION was performing, who I also met that night....In the past two years, I've met pretty much all the big name people...I just say hi, ask for a picture or if they could sign my record (if im up to lugging around some 12" records)...But of everyone NYASIA was the first artist I met and one who I still keep in touch with! She is da bomb and she knows it 😉

THAN AT NIGHT I WAS IN THE VIP ROOM AND GEORGE CAME IN IM LIKE OMGGGGGGGG AHHHHH I LOVE U HEHE TOOK A PIC WITH HIM AND GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH.. THAN HE GAVE ME A KISS ON THE CHEEK BUT IT KINDA MISSED MY CHEEK AND WENT TO THE SIDE OF MY LIP IM LIKE DAMNNNNNNNNNN I WANNA RAPE U..LOL

There are so many but my first artist I knew before he was Reinaldo, after That I met david of Nice & wild and I actually met Safire way back in 1994 while in Nyc and I didnt even know it.
 
The first Freestyle artist I met was Stevie B,
I was working at a bakery at the time and his people ordered a cake for his girlfriend's birthday. I was lucky enough to deliver the cake to the venue {The Bushnell} in Hartford CT. When I got there I was taken in the back to a room where Stevie and a few other people were hangin out. They liked the work we had done and Stevie asked me if I had tickets for the show which I did, so instead he gave me a $10.00 bill for a tip and I had him autograph it. That $10 bill is framed with a photo of Stevie and I that was taken a few years later when he returned to play another show in CT.

i still remember it..i was like a sopomore in highschool...i heard on ktu that he would be in newport mall in jersey city nj along with lil suzy doing a benefit thing for the hurrican that blew through P.R...so i ran out of school as soon as the bell rang and i counted my quaters (just enough) to take the train to the mall...wheni got there he was just there by the stage...i went right up to him...he looked happy that i recongnized him!!! he was so nice!!! he sat there and talked with me for a while...gave me an autograph wiht him pic on it...then i went back to the audience...this girl told me she wanted to meet him, so i actually took her there to see him!!! she was takin pics with him, and he asked her i could take a pic with him...wasnt that sweet!!!!! but she never sent it to me!!! i was waiting everyday for that pic, but it never came :blah
 
The first artist I EVER met..Was TKA...I was already into freestyle, and they had been my # 1 group ever since..But you see..Once I met them..I got even more crazier about them!!! It was around the Spring time I think, and it was at the WTC (r.i.p)..And I shall FOREVER remember that day!!! I took a pic with them, and K7 came up to me personally to shake my hand..Oh, and Angel sung to me on stage..LOL!!! Oh god I love them!!!

the 1st freestyle artist i met was maurizio, he's canadian, and u can hear his songs on the freestyle heaven cds...hes really cool and we had a lot of fun partying at palazzo in t.o. 🙂 i'd also loove to meet adam marano cuz hes tha best freestyle singer eva!!!:hearton
 
damn this is a hard one since i met every freestyle artist and their mother. i was the biggest groupie hanging out backstage with all miami and NY acts...i think the first artist i met was at hot wheels back in 88. it was the voice in fashion, and also erotic exotic since they were both performing there.
after that i went to the hialeah spring festival and i met tony moran when he was in the latin rascals and he hooked me up with an autograph pic....he was mad cool.fascination was also there and she gave me a huge poster of hers. wish i still had it.

I met the members of Company B back in 1987. I met the members of the Cover Girls in early '88. I met Stacey Q (not really freestyle) in 87. The last artist I have met that is extrememly cool is GIOIA from Expose!
 
i went to freestyle shows for A LONG TIME
but never been the type of approach performers
just prefer to see the show
so the first freestyle artist i met was probably Nyasia, i think you all remember her .....LMAO

then Fascination, TKA, Ashley, Nick Colon (p/t freestyle artist p/t orange man,) and Soave and i think i met Tonasia (i was drunk) lol
and Alex and CJay, etc etc
 
I have met a number of freestyle artists over the years, mostly through my own work as a singer. The two who have touched me the most are Brenda K. Starr and Joey Kid. When I was a teenager and had my first big show, Brenda K Starr called me at homne to wish me lkuck with my career, encouraging me to stay strong in a business that can strain even the most prolific performer. She will never know what her belief in me as an aspiring artist meant to me then and now. As for Joey, we're good friends ;-) (and are currently talking about doing some recording together. There's a scoop!) I first met him back in 1990 when he was with Atlantic--before C&C Music Factory and Trilogy. We hung out backstage after his second show of the evening and I couldn't believe that someone so handsome and talented could also be such a tremendous human being. (He is a genuine sweetheart.)I think what blew me the most away was the one kiss we shared that night. (I stumbled into walls for weeks afterward!) So, yes, for personal reasons perhaps, they are my life long favorites. 🙂

It was Judy Torres....I'll never forget it...KTU had a birthday bash for Glenn Friscia at Rye Playland in the summer of 97....she looked great and the crowd clearly belonged to her that night....she was wearing a white business suit and she brought the house down when she vogued with Speedy....anyway, my friend Noel(not the singer) called her over and she was so humble that she didn't believe that someone wanted to take a picture with her.....I said "you're tall!" cuz she was wearing these heels....she was a total sweetheart to me that night.
