Can I get a Amen!!? SF & Sheryn never went off note once in those songs. They are just high keys.
 
95% of Freestyle is off key! The only song that I think had potential because of the music and lyrics, but was ruined by off key vocals is Lil Suzy's Take Me Back. EESH, thank you for saying it because I agree that Judy screams and I have never been a fan of her music.

any song on tazmania, viper,and any song produced by adammarano :nono and yes judy can sing for club or freestyle but, to do what india did????welll, judy needs some lessons......india is the queen and not judy..
i do enjoy some of judy's tracks but, not all are good ones

It has nothing to do with Philly people "knocking their own". We just refuse to settle for less.

Philly is about to get something that they haven't had in a long time...

If we didn't care "about our own", Total Kaos would not be remotely interested in developing new new local talent. One of the new artists that will be making her recording debut with Total Kaos was born and raised right here in Philly. 😉

Yeah, this thread is old...but I have never seen it..I agree alot of Freestyle is off-key if you really think about it. But not in a bad way...if that makes any sense. It gives the songs their "flavor". I have to agree Judy does scream alot in her songs...but I love Judy and that is what makes her style. Definately have to agree that "Tear Shed" is soooooo off=key...but that was the jam back in the day!! Still love that song no matter what.
 
If Brandy sung freestyle then her song "what about us" would be up on the list for sure.

Alot of songs are off key in freestyle. But we grew accustomed to them and accepted them to the point that we just can't tell the difference. This is why freestyle isn't in the charts right now. I dont think we should settle for less when it comes to this music.
