where's the latin essence?

All I gotta say is a lot of you are still stuck in the past. I like old school, not doggin' it at all, but the new school appeals to me a lot more. When I listen to music I want something that's gonna hype me up, and that's where the new school beats come into play, if I wanted to sleep during music I'd listen to r&b. 🙄 I'm a dance/euro fan too, so that would probably explain the reasoning behind liking new school more. A lot of you just give no respect to the new school style which really sucks, I mean there's a lot of new school talent that deserves respect, but most of you (not all) don't even want to give it a chance, oh well to each their own. All I know is I'm enjoying both old school and new school, and I'm not bothered by the "missing" latin essence, to me the source of freestyle is still Afrika Bambaataa.

Kirk Ramos man. didnt i tell you guys he was something else? if we had more producers like him freestyle would back in business. the thing is though, we need to come up with another underground sound that would comply with todays sound. this i think would be kinda be hard to achieve unless you're looking at todays hip hop sound. like that "lap dance" beat with r and b vocals on it with some latin rhythms. wouldnt you consider that freestyle then? would you be loyal to it?

what i was trying to say is, i agree with most things said on this post but that old sound just doesn't really have a market at all anymore. i personally luv it, but for freestyle to be successful and to compete with everything else poppin right now, i gotta say that Eluder & Primax got good points, you can't stay in tha past. so i personally luv tha old school latin hip hop sound, but i just dont see that there's a market for it anymore. i mean, tell me, what was tha last song with that old school latin hip-hop sound that was a hit (with both freestyle fans and others outside of freestyle)?

but thats where i stand. on one hand i luv this sound and would luv it to resurface. but would anyone else wanna hear it aside from myself and fans like me? would it have tha audience to support it enough to keep it alive this time?

peace,
Mark

"That old flavor has no market place"?? Well, I disagree, and on top of that, for whatever the reason may be "THAT OLD FLAVOR" what is the Latin Flavor that we talking about is the only type of FREESTYLE that still gets the most national air play.

To Me, it seems that whatever FREESTYLE is attempting to evolve and that is well over due and needed! han't been working!

My Boy Pete Zavala played THE BEST FREESTYLE PRODUCTION I"VE HEARD IN YEARS!!

It was an old skool Carlos Berrios Meets Noel Salsedo OFF THE PHUCKIN' HOOK!!! If You think that Lenny is the SHHHHHHHh wait until you hear my vato Pete!!
