Orchard Beach is and will always be the spot! I been going there since I was in pampers! Woah!

In the summer of 1991 I went to the 2 day concert on the great lawn- some of the artists were Crystal Waters, Sandee, Face, etc....

Well The drum loop for 1, its more house or at the time i geuss "New Wave" It lacks that 808 and hihat, thats just more of a Euro type new wave jam to me. But its a great song though and ive heard like 2 versions of that song done in freestyle.
 
hey, i guess MEN W/O HATS's "SAFTEY DANCE" is considered "freestyle" to the same people whom think "DONT YOU WANT ME BABY" by HUMAN LEAGUE also!

I'll admit the parameters for what is considered freestyle are very vague, but Human League and Men Without Hats are definitely not freestyle.

Mine Was Let Me Be The One By Safire. What I Think I Played Out That Song So Much I Wasted The Cassette. Then Boy I've Been Told And Shiat Well Safire Had A Fan For Life.
 
i got hooked with all the early miami records like erotic exotic's "take me as i am" & "l.o.v.e." and secret society "why did you run away", plus all of trineres hits,debbie deb,expose,sequal,nice & wild,p.s.o.,rockforce,natasha,sandee,geniune parts,promise circle and of course NYC's TKA which continue to be my favorite group to this day....

The human league is not freestyle Plain and simple. No freestye head would have been caught dead playing them in their car.
 
This is a great example how everyone tries to expand the boundaries of what freestyle reaaly is. People tend to catagorize many different styles of music as freestyle to make it sound as if freestyle is broader and what it was or currently is. Freestyle has really lost it's identity. It seems every dance song that comes out, people want to claim that it is freestyle, possibly to make people believe that freestyle is stronger than what it currently is. Same goes with past songs, like Human League. Human League was good, but in no way can it ever be considered as freestyle, or then every song that came out in the mid 80's-mid 90's was freestyle. We allknow that would be a false statement.
 
If anyone had read into what I posted, and had an open mind, (or one at all) you would know where I'm coming from. When that song came out, (in like 82?) that was the closest thing to freestyle out there.

Carlito's Way hit it right on the head. There IS no definition of freestyle.

I NEVER said that Safety Dance was freestyle.

I try to not let ignorance get to me, but there are people that have nothing better to do but to trample other people's opinions.
