the guitar solos in freestyle songs kill it for me--im glad im not the only one that feels that way...it just seems out of place

It's good to see some positive feedback after my guitar posting, how can I ave forgotten one of the most Latin of Latin hip hop with a most mint guitar jam... "LATIN LOVE" by TriLoGy, I don't think there is one freestyle soul alive that can say that sounds like sh*t!!!! And that track was from way back in the beginning too!! So :blah to all who oppose!!

I LOVE THE GUITAR SOUNDS IN THE SONG BY THE LOCAL MIAMI GROUP NO MERCY...

THE SONG IS CALLED "WHERE DID YOU GO",,,AND IT'S THE SOBEACH MIX...

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME...I LOVE GUITAR SOUNDS TO BEGIN WITH I THINK IT'S A CLASSY TOUCH.

hey what's the matter with everyone here? like freestylevet, I think that the guitars are cool😎 and make songs sound more 80s.

but something I don't like are rambling lyrics. Is everyone here familiar with Odeon REcords? because a lot of the songs seemed to be about nothing and the verses just restate the chorus in a different context. Like forever by alexia phillips - it sould sound good but i can't (under)stand what she's talking about.
 
In my opinion, that's one of the best of the planet freestyle seriesfrom Odeon Records.

What's not to understand in the chorus for forever by Alexia Phillips? "forerever, we will always be together, darlin never say never, that this true love will ever end"; sounds simple 2 me hehe

it's really hard to say what doesn't belong in freestyle (or any form of music). that's just kinda limiting the creativity, ya know.

i mean look at songs like "get ur freak on" (missy elliott), "we need a resolution" (aaliyah), or "superthug" (noreaga) that mixed hip hop with middle eastern music & culture. or "arabian nights" (latin rascals), or even the way safire mixed the whole gypsy middle-east theme and the chanting throughout the 12" version of "don't break my heart 2002"

sometimes mixing stuff that u wouldn't necessarily group together make some hot hits.
