Well, I made my promise that is if don't get a date not a relationship by V-Day of 2005 I will shut my lovelife down. Well, There is a few weeks left. I'm still having bad luck along with my hours getting cut, can't find a second job and backed up with bills. being dateless is not making it easier. That's why if I can't find a dat by then, i'm DONE WITH ROMANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't need any more of this stress!!

MIke thats understanding, but because you have not found your one trully :1luv , doesnt mean that she isnt out there, I have no one, But that doesnt mean that I must give up My Life for it. You will find some one, when the time is right and its time for you to have a girl to trully love you for you, than SHe will show up infront of your face loving you and taking care of you, the way you would with her. So dont give up, seriously. I know what your talking about seriously. but just dont give up.
 
India, you make a great point. The reason I feel this way is; I have been dateless for now 10 years. I just have the feeling not to keep investing in something that is not paying out. If my lovelife was a Million Dollar business it would be losing 1 Billion dollars. The business is maxed out with all banks with loans, with me; i'm maxed out with patience. I feel like I need something now of the doors have to shut.
 
Hmm listen sometimes its better that way, because you could find someone and they could treat you like shit, Ive been through my share of assholes, so i deciede not to look and if its going to happen then that person will come upon me with his arms wide open.
 
I believe that there is a special someone out there for everyone.

I am single as well. have always been single. Never had any to kiss on New Year's spend my bday with, or give a special gift to on Valentine's Day.

I'm not about to give up now. I am feeling the best I've felt in years, and I know that the guys are gonna start seeing this, and hit me up.

Thats right mami, That is the point we need to love ourself before we could love others. I agree with you a hundred percent
 
You guys make good points. You might be shocked when I tell you I had to turn away some women. Yes a man who was dateless for 10 years turning women away!! I had to because; 1 they had kids and they had personalities I was not comfortable with. So I am not desperate now.

And no Ed it doesn't happen like that for everyone. But it does for some. You have to be open to it though and not on some "Oh woe is me!" trip.

You don't see me runnin around CF whinin cuz I don't have a man do you? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!! That doesn't mean that I don't get lonely sometimes but damn! I'm not gonna sit here and let the rest of my life slip away cuz of that one reason.
 
wow mike.. hey man if its of any comfort (and this probably won't be) im 17 and ive only ever managed to ask 2 girls out. but mike DONT take your 10-year dateless streak too seriously. come on if you keep up that attitude, like everyone else says, you'll never ever find anyone. as long as you keep up a positive attitude & never pass up good opportunities, you will definitely find someone. maybe with all your bad luck lately like u said, then finding anyone to go out with might be of some consolation. no one likes to see a sad face, so mike just try not to give up and things will get better for you.

Wait a second Mike, What is the problem with them having kids, I feel a little offended man. LOL Because I have a daughter doesnt mean that Im any different than not having a little girl, Why would you turn women away because they have child/ren? Im just trying to figure that one out? Im not saying that its wrong to turn them away but you must have a reason? that is your opinion, but because i am a single mother I do want to know why would you?

What people need to realize is that until they find themselves attractive and worthwhile, no one else will.

I hit the gym and walk, no only for exercise, but because it makes me feel good. When I feel good, I get more attention. I was in Pa. in November, and I had two different guys approach me. That was a first, and an ego boost.

Do what you can for yourself to make you feel good. Get a facial. A new haircut. Some new clothes. Get your teeth whitened, or straightened. Get a manicure.

Anything that is gonna give you a boost!
