Well said, Chuck D...although I have to admit if it wasn't for Coro coming out, I probably would still be in the closet today.

so did anyone check out the magazine with tony on the cover last week?
it's dope! so check it, it isn't a rumor, coro is out and proud.i happend to know him and met his boyfriend at a past show before. they are always chillin at krash in queens. coro is one of the sweetest, most down to earth guys you'll ever meet.
Tony moran is another thats out and proud, i've actually read about it in past gay mags. he is well known and loved in the gay circuit party scene. just got his new mixed house cd and it's hot. Tony was a role model for me when i was growing up, well im now 27 and i'm still a huge fan, especially of his remixes...the guy has done it all, a true legend.
there are other gay artist in freestyle that i wont mention since they haven't come out, but like someone mentioned before, does it all really matter? it's all about the music! right??
freestyleforever baby
peace

I'm not one to always speak my mind on CF since I like to keep my membership but c'mon people let's dispense with the bulls**t and move on to another thread, I feel like this a first grade conversation.Leave the guy alone.... he is he isn't who cares? Doesn't change who he is in the freestyle world.

Marlon, are you really in the movie? Get me a part!! LOL.

Question - Is the magazine an "e-zine" or can I pick it up at a news stand Marlon???

I would really love to see it -

Regardless of his private life, he is an amazing and talented artist!

Does anyone know know where I can find this issue?

i would have to say that everyone has made a clear point on the subject of someone begin not begin "gay"...I am gay myself...i dont think it is a touchie subject if someone would like to know something about the artist they like..i do do believe clubgirl and chuck d thoughts, we should support there personal choices and move on.....i think that great that they are and more power to them...

Sorry to drudge this old topic up but I was performing a search and this appeared.

I know people say sexuality shouldn't matter, it's all about the music, who cares and whatever, that's fine. If the topic doesn't interest you, move on.

I do think it's important for young people who might be questioning their identity and sexuality, to find role models and someone they can identify with so they won't feel so alone and isolated. It's especially helpful for kids who are made targets of ridicule and harrassment in school to find people who may have gone thru the same things they are going thru and say "it's okay to be who you are." When they see someone they idolize say "this is who I am," that young person hopefully realizes they're not so different.

If you're straight, think for a moment if the whole world was gay and you thought you might be the only person with those feelings and you were made fun of for being different. Suddenly the whole world becomes a huge obstacle against you. If you read in truth or rumor that a celebrity you idolize came out and said they they're differnt too, all at once you find hope.

I love Tony's and other freestyle artists music because it's great material. Their sexuality is second. It doesn't matter to me but If I were a troubled kid, knowing there's someone else there who's might be a little similar to me, would change everything.

All i know is God created Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve!

Well, I will always love freestyle, and I don't really care about artists gender's preference, but to be real honest...... it was not until I joined CF I discovered that some of these artists were typed in that category. But I will always love freestyle no matter what. To me.... freestyle music is to bump in your car, and dance with some sexy females. What you do is your business! I just want to make music that ANYONE can appreciate !!!!!!

hate to break it to you all, but working in the dance music industry proper (not just the freestyle world) you learn very quickly that a majority of the people ranging from artists to producers to record label people are, in fact, gay or lesbian. some are more out than others. some you would never suspect. but regardless, i dont think it's anybodys right to judge someone else based on who they sleep with. i think there's far more pressing matters in everyone's life. and when you work in conjunction with these people on a business level you learn not to care. either way, it dont matter. btw- who the hell is bringing up these posts from like 2 years ago?

yeahs theres gays in the freestyle industry, so what. Theres gays in the military too, so whats the big deal? Just because theres gays in the mix , that dont mean the mix is gay.
