i just had to say how unmentioned ..under appreciated..TONY MORAN and the latin rascals have been on this forum...i can honestly say i havent heard anything that is NOT good music from this man as a matter of fact the best of freestyle has come from tony..i didnt go out tonight and spent the night downloading freestyle and man his stuff is still incredible!!!....and hes still on the set behind the scenes creating... i love this guy!! musical genius....not enough to say about this man...a true pioneer of freestyle!!😀..in particular ive been listening to WHOS SORRY NOW and DANCE WITH ME....still fresh after all these years...😀.. furthermore does he know about this site and if so why havent we heard from him???.. hes dealing with the big dawgs now...tony give us a shout out ..because freestyle isnt freestyle without your input.....!!!

i like "LOVER" & "ON THE EDGE", particularly when he did it solo. Safire's kewl i like her a lot too. but when he did the new version on his own...that was hot!!!! the beat was hotter, his vocals were stronger, he took a good song and made it even better!

i wish he would do more in freestyle. he was the top dawg back in the day but now he only does it every now and then. but the Cynthia/Safire joint is krazy hot!!!!!!!!
 
I just got the Latin Rascals (When She Goes) CD today in the mail from Ebay. 😀

Boy, I don't know if all the songs are freestyle, but lord, please don't let me be misunderstood, they sound amazing! The quality of work! The lyrics! I AM IN LOVE!!! 😀

On The Edge on this CD features India, and it's a awesome version. I like the On The Edge remake with Safire, but both tunes are equal in amazingness!

I heard there was going to be a Latin Rascals comeback here in a thread months ago?

THAT is one of my old time favs.

A friend told me once he dedicated that song to me...he said Lou - (VET ..now) listen to that song, I think it speaks about you.

At first I laughed, then as I heard the lyrics it does (I THINK) speak about me. When I'm on the dance floor I seem to transform to another world. Sometimes the look in my eyes speaks volume...(So I've been told)..I don't mean to sound conceited though.

I LOVE DANCING..IT'S AN INSTANT ENERGIZER...

As for the performers,,,your are truly right...They have not been recognized as they should be. However, deep in our hearts we have not forgotten them.

The last 12 inch vinyl I purchased back in the 90's was "DANCE WITH ME"...Lent it to a DJ friend so he can play it at the clubs and NEVER SAW IT AGAIN,,,along w/other collectibles.

ANYTHING THEY HAVE I CHERISH DEARLY.

Hope they come out with more stuff.

TONY MORAN is one of my top favorite artist of all time. i remember when i use to see him perform as the latin rascals, he always blew me away.....

did anyone catch him at the fever show? yo his show was blazin' hot! the best act in my opinion that night....

i hope tony makes a comeback soon, all his songs were bangin'!

The songs from the Latin Rascals (Tony Moran), the lyrics, the voice, that is AMAZING quality music. Man I could have these as backups when I can't speak my mind to the girl if I ever hurt (Hopefully never), and the songs will serve as my forgiveness. 🙂

im glad to see other people agreeing with me..some of the best of freestyle has come from tony..i just wanted to give him props and recognize that no conversation about freestyle could exclude this man..i feel not enough credit or recognition is given to one of the masters of freestyle..😀 its almost like having a disscussion on martial arts and not mentioning bruce lee

You could flawlessly see it, and hear it. You can like see the love Tony Moran has for music. THis guy LOVES music and was born to express himself.

Judging by his album (Same Sun Same Sky)(WHich I don't have 🙁 ) you can just see the time and dedication he took on it.

How much did you end up paying for the Latin Rascals CD? I have it and am curious how much one would pay for it even though I would not sell it. ALso, I have "Same sun same sky" by Tony Moran on CD as well. That is a keeper. I do have a CD recorder though🙂
I even have the Latin Rascals first LP. Too bad there were no vocals on it.
Tony definitely has one of the best voices out there!
