Good question Ed lol. Actually, I have a spreadsheet of all my freestyle songs that I have that I use for KTU mixes. There are about 300 songs on the list. It's in a grid format, and whenever I use a song, I write the date down. This is so that I don't use the same songs too often.

As far as getting into putting one song after another, its just a matter of picking a song to start the set with and just going with the flow and seeing what song works best. There are 2 sets of 9 songs each, totalling 18. Of the 9 songs in a set, usually 4 of them will be straight up "well known" freestyle anthems (all the basic songs everyone knows). 2 of them will usually be a lesser known song by a well known artist (ex- "What Will It Take" by Cynthia or "Every Little Lie" by Judy Torres). The remaining 3 will be songs you probably will not hear in most places outside of my mixshow. That makes 9 total. It's not set in stone, but it's basically the formula that adheres week after week, whether intentionally or not.

For the record, I usually put them together on Saturdays after I wake up. I'm usually in my pajamas lol.
