It wouldn't hurt to incorporate 1 new song in your mixes. That way a majority of the listeners would be happy but not all. Keep up the good work James and see you at The Copa!!!

James; and Mr Budz

Keep doing your thing,

"Freestyle will suffer if radio stations don't play the music"? You are speaking from an old school perspective 'cause the only ones who will suffer is the old school artists, producers, labels, etc. Like I said before and I get tired of saying already, new school has been around for over a decade without the support of mainstream radio. New school artists and concerts gets no advertisement, no promotions, etc. And speaking of these 99% who you call fans, they are not hardcore fans, like the ones who look all around to find those rare hard to find old school and new school tracks (you know who you are). I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of those mass audience listeners think freestyle still died back in 1992. One more thing, I said new school music sucks? Then what do you call it when you say "put out good music and fans will come"? What's not good about new school music? Be specific.

I personally would rather be of the Majority and not the minority but if thats the way you like it than O well, Oh and I dont scour the record stores for Freestyle music huh....try the basement floor in the Virgin records mega store in times square, which I will travel all the way from Pa. to look for music, it sounds like to me you might be a little jealus of Old School beeing how successful they were, and YES I am from the mass audience and for you to Assume that we dont know anything is ludacris, and niave, I myself have more music culture than you might ever know, At least I can name a song in Frestyle, Rock and Roll, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Western, Soul, Disco, Motown,New wave,Punk,Rap!

First of all Baltazar. We are talking about freestyle in general, not other cultures. I don't know about rock, pop, classical, jazz and others because I was not raised on that music. Second, I bet my 2000+ freestyle collection that I know more than you when it comes to finding rare old school and new school music. I got tons of connections, sources, and my own stores that has lead me to the HUGE collection I have today. And let me tell you something else. I have nothing against old school. I got the old school classics and I got the non old school classics. In terms of old school: I got Coro's album, Cynthia's albums, Johnny O's albums, TKA's albums, Noel's Album, Safire's albums, The Concept of One album, Tony Moran's album, Nasty Boyz Album, Latin Rascals Album, Stevie B's albums, India's freestyle album, George Lamond's albums, Daize's Album, etc. I got lots of singles and compilations too. But like many people I get sick and tired of the old school classics 'cause there are other songs off artists' albums that never get played. There are even those underground old school artists who had albums or singles and never got one single airplay back during the Golden Ages of Freestyle. And let's not get into the subject of how far you go for freestyle 'cause the Virgin Mega Store isn't the best source for freestyle. Tower records is a better source. Searching for freestyle music also means knowing where to look. And like I said before I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of those KTU listeners still think that Freestyle died in 1992. I don't see how that can be an insult when it's a common fact.

What your saying is a cop out..........i bet if you asked all those people who listen to your show if they wanna hear the same old stale freestyle songs or if they wanna hear new stuff i bet they call in and say they prefer the new stuff. why dont you try it, get people to call in. trust me.......all us freestyle fans who have grown up listening to freestyle already have ALL the old songs you play on SO many compilations we want and prefer new stuff (if we want to hear these songs we dont have to hear them on the radio we have then in our BRAINS from YEARS of hearing them....and if we wanna hear them again we will bust out our bad boy joe mix cd, or our tim spinnin schommer cd and can hear them.....why dont you pose that question and let callers call in.........see what the public really wants..............

on a more OVERALL musical note...........if you asked the same question on the morning show at ktu and asked do you want to hear the same 20 songs over and over again i bet youd get the majority of people say PLAY new stuff give it a shot so we can see if we like it.

dont all you out here on this site agree with me

Were you listening Sunday night?

the fact is alot of the new freestyle have flaws like-- production is off (levels) the words dont match the song the singer is off on the track we should learn from the past and make sure the new stuff is better because the old school act is a hard act to follow if you want to change things start promoting do something about it if not shut the f&uck up or put your your money where your mouth is james anthony is doing a wonderfull job for his age keep it up because if the old is keep alive there wiil be a chance for the new i do not like to argue but my cell number can be found on this site for futher discussion thats all ANOTHER SHAMELESS PLUG

LOL ... give me a break ... was it really necessary to bring this thread up again? ... We all know it was this exact thread that made James Anthony go away in the first place. But then again I guess I played a part in that.
