Before I even begin this post I want to ask that above all everyone keep it real weather you agree with what I am about to say or not, because I know people tend to say one thing and mean another we all know how it goes when your with your peoples you say one thing and when confronted with it some might shy away with what they really feel so I am gonna keep it as real as possible. I have tried to be as voicefull as possible here on CF every chance I get so I am going to voice what I feel and what I think, a lot might agree and most wont but hey its all in respect and in honesty. We have touched on this topic on several occasions and I am about to touch up on it again. TKA I have loved this group since the beginning of its time and I know I don’t stand alone on the love for this group but I think there are some facts we need to face and I say this because I see the rapid change in the music industry and then I look to the freestyle industry and not much has changed . For example we here witnessed the come back of this legendary group and looking at them coming back they were to be our saviors our saving grace to freestyle but as I have realized they weren’t. Was I wrong to put my hopes to them to save the masses, perhaps but who better to look to too count on to bring it back then the legendary TKA. I have been one to go to countless TKA shows as many of you have but it has gotten to the point where when you’ve seen a show the first few times its all good but when you continue to go back it becomes a rerun I’m not one for reruns and I say this with all due respect but how many times can you go to a show and see the same old show over and over again when then the artist themselves don’t even look like there enjoying themselves , when the routine has gotten so old that angel himself cant get the lyrics to one way love right. You start to loose faith in what once was. They released Forever and to many it was a big disappointment such a disappointment that they only do one song off that album Feel the music” and its Angel singing the song and in all honesty Angel just doesn’t cut it as a lead sure he’s a cutie but it doesn’t help the group. Many of times I’ve sat with friends and discussed the direction of TKA of freestyle itself and so many times all people can say is K7 is the group its his vocals at the forefront every time holding TKA down and I know many here silently agree. He has been successful in leading this group but he too ventured off and was a success as just K7 lets be real as a solo act he provided that energy everyone wants to see when they go to a show and I wonder why he has never done any of his K7 work while on stage with TKA. K if you read this post could you please answer as to why. I personally would have loved to see a show with something new to it what better then giving us some K7 flow. As I stated above the music industry is rapidly changing what they are looking for and I know this from expierience from association with different people in the industry is a fresher younger look from the clothes they wear , to there age. You have to either grow with the times and make those changes or all together leave well enough alone. TKA isn’t exactly representing today’s youth once again no disrespect but how easy do you think it is for them to go to a major record label and get a deal, hmmmm not easy at all because labels are looking for a younger look age is a big factor in today’s birth of an artist and granted these are legends but to the rest of the world they will just be an outdated group who’s time has since come and gone. Aside from K7 the group does not give that flava we are seeing in groups these days, yesterdays stylo has changed from today’s. We’ve have read on the board of some changes, incorporating hip-hop into freestyle which I personally think would be a great idea, could TKA as a group pull this off will they be our saviors in this too. I think that maybe its time they went there seperate ways . I want to remember them as the legends they are and will always be I don’t want to see them make an attempt at something that right now could turn what they have done into a shadow of what once was . I think K as a solo could do this incorporate this change into the industry as for the other members , Angel has basically been the member not really there , Tony seems to be venturing off into so many things with a clothing line etc maybe its time he leave the lime light and pursue such projects that could be more beneficial to him. If any member of TKA happens to come accross this post please answer me one question what brought about the reunion of TKA. I would like to know what everyone here thinks this in no way is a hate post cause everyone here knows I have been one of there biggest fans and have always kept it real and I am not asking for anyone to agree with me but take into mind what I have said is it time for them to make a gracious exit or continue to walk down that path they have been on hollllllllaaaaaaaa @ your girl Sexy

Listen, I think you have too much time on your hands. Stop wasting all this energy on what has already been said for quite some time now. Freestyle is never going to be what it once was just like Hip- Hop not being the same as it once was. I agree with you on all the artists performing re-runs of previous shows. It's like they have run out of ideas on making themselves look better. I've given up hope on the issue. Thank God for all the great memories, though.

Well, i can answer that. TKA & K7 are 2 different groups. They dont want to mix the 2 up. Thats what I was told from thier camp.

it's time for a divorce. These guys gave us years of beautiful music, great lyrics, and three of the finest looking brothas in freestyle, but just like in a marriage, if it isn't working even after the reconciliation then break it off. These guys will always be great, whether in a group or in solo careers. good luck to you three no matter what you choose to do.

Good Lord That Was A Suprise Coming From You Mama

Dang girl, First I want to tell you that, I know that must've been a tough thing to post, I know how much you love TKA. Secondly I know you and I know you must be getting Dozens of emails/IM's/PM. Since decided to let it all out, I'm going to take a swing. Nena The truth is that I love the music I do, don't get me wrong, but, Truth is I remeber saying to someone, That I had heard K7 on that Love,Sex and Money CD and although I thought it was hot.. It was. I realized who TKA was. I know the guys probably put there heart into their career and maybe not, either way. I realized that TKA is K7 and the T and A are basically the chorus. Hey a group is a group I guess that is how shit is, but, I was dissapointed. The person was like " Nah TKA is all of them they, all sing. But, thats not the singing I was talking about. On another note I'm sure T and A wrote alot of the music, I don't know and maybe produced some tracks, but to the public, There is but, one lead vocal and that's K7. I wanted to say it for the longest time.. The boy is blessed with a voice that only he can keep this thing flowing, but, where to. And Why, Freestyle is a tough industry.. Listening to him do those tracks on that CD had my mind blowing.. I'm lucky to have been able to have experienced his Freestyle music, but, It only makes me crazy with anticipation, because I think he owes it to himself to maybe change genre's maybe R&B, whatever, his future holds I strongly feel that He can be a soloist. I think that TKA as a group tried to make that come back a smooth as possible for us the fans.. They don't even look like they are enjoying themselves up their, Made me not one to go anymore. I felt like, do these dudes even interact with each other outside of the stage. Please don't take offense to anything I have said. Like I said I love TKA's music as much as all of you, i'm just trying to be honest. and unfortunately, before the clock ticks I think its time they decided if they want to stay with this freestyle thing, because unfortunately age is a factor... not the actual but, the visual. God bless you guys.. in all that you do.

HELL NO!

We, the TKA fans, wished for thier reunion.

They heard out cries.

They came back with another great album (please Rhoq, no comments here)

Now you suggest they break up?

HELL NO!

I simply asked the question and gave my opinion I am not asking for anyone to agree. I am a real true fan been there from day one of there reunion and as hard as it may be for me to have posted this up I kept what I felt real so as I said I am not looking for anyone to agree I posted this up a die hard TKA fan those who know me know ive never missed a show an album etc simply stating my opinion :d

What type of "change" are we talking about?

I assumed they were going in a different musical change, a type that most freestyle fans would appreciate. I guess I am wrong?

Don't know what kind of change Kenny but whatever it is, it has to be better than what the fans are seeing and complaining about right? or not who knows, but these guys took freestyle as far as they could. K is thnking of doing something new, which is great and hopefully it'll take off like a heat seeking missile, but if it doesn't then I will back whatever other genre he chooses to go to. and if the others choose to not sing anymore or just produce or open up the clothing line, hey more power to them, you know? very few reunited groups ever work out Ken. I they all want it, why not give them our blessing?

I gotta agree with Kenny....ever since their last performance in October of 92, people prayed they would get back together...but here's the thing: a lot of freestyle fans, like myself, were not of age to see them perform...however ten years later, we finally are...if TKA, as well as other artists, are going around cities singing the songs of the glory years of freestyle, then I'm all for it. I've never been to a TKA show myself because some act of GOD is preventing me, but I would love to see them just once before the say bye bye again...as for not looking happy onstage while performing, I don't know...maybe it's because we are so stuck in the past, and already set on what we like, that we automatically refuse anything new...sure, the Forever album, isn't what we've come to expect of TKA, but then again, K7 is always saying that times change, so the sounds have to as well...take Madonna for example: the Madonna of 2002 sounds absolutely nothing like the Madonna of 1982. She's been successful because she CHANGED WITH THE TIMES. She even went public and said she hated Material Girl, and that's the song that put her on the map!!!! So maybe deep down inside, TKA actually doesn't like reliving One Way Love for the gazillionth time, but that song is always gonna be there for us in our tapes, cds, hearts, and memories....now it's time to create new ones for the next generation.
