As Brkln said...we as fans are selfish but I must say...the FOREVER CD is one that I have on regular rotation in my CD player. I love it!

OMG K, I hope I didn't offend you guys by anything I wrote, I am also anxously awaiting your response. I just wanted to say that just because we love the music... We always will, This is the music that makes us reminisce on $hit from the past, makes us cry when we need a good cry, reminds us of the good ol days, past relationships, friends etc.. But, I don't want to be a selfish fan.. I think K has the potential the talent and the heart to broaden the horizens, there aren't many freestyle artists that can go there... He can go there. And I don't want to limit it just to him, but, Out of the 3 he is a proven ticket, been there,done that, and he has to have been incredibly patient, and sane to stay in this for so so long. I want him to give himself the chance I want T and A to allow themselves to see that he can take it there and that we can't and they can't be selfish and make it sticky. Don't get caught up take that love that you have for them and take it with you where ever they go. I enjoyed the change K made a while back by taking it dolo Swing Batta, Lidia was my fav. I disagree with Kenny, after hearing K solo I strongly suggest that those of you who haven't do so and you will see why I'm saying this, He is the whole album, all the albums... Chorus and background is part of an album yes,, but, lets not go as far as saying they are all equally as inclined vocally one with the other. Again I love TKA i'm just ready, to see what the next move is and I don't think we the fans should be so selfish,, yes we want to keep the group together for the sake of seeing the shows but, you know what think about them as individual people struggling to stay on top of this FS genre, and realize that there are limits on the sky in FS. Beyond that, the bounds for K and perhaps the others are limitless. Lets give that a chance I'm not saying the group should seperate, I just think they have more potential for success individual and apart and in my opinion K has that.. He should take it and run with it.. God Bless
 
Well first I want to say that I think we should all give some respect to Tony and Angel, not just K. They are a part of TKA, even if many don't think they were as much as K is. Without them TKA would not be the same.

OK so... after gathering my thoughts from total shock, there's hardly anything left for me to say. lololol... Everyone said my piece for me.

I agree with you Angie, and I have to admit... it is a COMPLETE shocker to read these words, especially knowing they were written by you. loll.. But I respect you for puttin it out there and I understand EVERYTHING you're saying.

Let's be real... nobody wants to see a group, no matter how much you love them, sing the same songs every week. Damn it got to a point where I saw them in the same outfits like 3 times! loll. I could tell which song would be next too. That doesn't mean I don't like to hear them, cuz I'll be honest I play the greatest hits album regularly. lolololl.. It just means that I'm not running to their next show cuz I saw them a week earlier.

I hate to see my favorite group of all time keep getting bashed over their new album or career choices. It feels horrible to come to the realization that no one is feeling them anymore, especially when I loved "Forever." But hey... they can't be jumping around on stage for another 20 years singing "Maria."

Just like anything good, it all comes to an end and that has to be done before it gets stale. I'll always love TKA, and because of that, I completely understand them wanting to end their "reign" if that's what they so desire. I'll be just as excited to hear solo material as I would be to hear their group projects.

So best of luck with whatever they decide to do. :hearton
 
Ya know... it's like Seinfeld. He ended his show before people got a chance to get sick of it and say it was bad.

TKA has too much respect in freestyle to go out like that. I say, in agreement again with Angie... don't ruin what you already have established. At this point, it feels like it's going that way. Unless you guys have some tricks up your sleeves, unless you guys start talking to eachother before the shows and start acting like you like eachother, unless you guys throw yourselves into the old school TKA... it ain't gonna work. People only want to hear the old school. That sucks to say... but it's the truth. Why won't TKA sing anything off of "Forever"?? Why always the old songs? Because everyone is stuck in that f**kin time warp and don't want you all to leave it. Ever.

As much as it hurts to say, and as much as people are going to hate me for this... Somebody has to say it... Pack up the show folks and leave me with my good memories of TKA. :crap

I have to agree. I don't feel that TKA can continue doing the same old thing over and over again. Soon, they will sound like the Beachboys at a Vegas Casino. They need to re-invent themselves and their sound like U2/ Aerosmith/ Metalicca, groups that have done the same type of music but changed it to appease the modern times. I'm sorry but there needs to be a change. Old freestyle is dead and buried. Time for something new. K7 had a great run before and shows he has what it takes to succeed. If K7 can salvage anything from TKA, let great. If not, well. Time to put the nails in the coffin. Personally, I feel K7 should venture out on his own. I don't feel he would achieve any greater success with Angel & Tony because I don't see that drive from them. Don't see that hunger on stage nor hear it on record. K7 seems very hungry though, he has been posting here and getting something started. But, I do still love TKA OLD SCHOOL and hope all the best to all the members of this wonderfull trio.
 
i for one am one of the happiest people that tka got back together. when they split in 92 i was 9 and never got to see them perform. For 9 years i was pumping their greatest hits cd always bcuz it kicks ass. I had always wondered , wow it would be nice to go to one of their shows. The oppurtunity came when they got back together. They were part of the freestyle show last year in HUNKA BUNKA in sayerville, nj. I jumped at the chance to go and it was one of the best things ive ever seen. I saw CYnthia, George Lamond, Johnny O(cool live perfomer, goes wild), coro........and more,, and when TKA came out they blew the roof off that mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!er. So i for one am happy they reunited. Ueah the forever was nopt freestyle like we all expected but listen to the album. It is without a doubt one of the best releases of the year. it has great songs. Whatever they decide to do then they shall. I am a fan and will continue to buy their music because its good, not cuz im a fan and i have to, but bcuz its good quality music.
